Knight's Tale
Prologue
The Knight (you) is a recruit who is trained at the Lunacian's Fort by Chief Luna, the Leader of the Guardians. Luna informed you and the other guardians that your responsibility is to preserve and protect the Royalties from the forces of evil. You were told that you will work in pairs and have the option of choosing your partner.
Everyone has a distinct personality. "Choose the one that best suits yours," Luna said as she congratulates you while walking towards the walls, but she's stopped by another guardian who has come to inform her that a gigantic unexplained object from afar is approaching. You went with the Chief and followed the guardian back to the walls to see what was going on. You see it with your own eyes, appearing beneath the clouds. There was an invasion going on.
Laena promptly raced off to assist and save Cian when he was thrown off the wall by the invasion's pebble throw. The Chief promptly instructed the vanguards to notify the other guardians and build up a defense line at wall AXS.
Before you could all leave, you were hit by the surprise catapults, as Cian encountered. You and the others fainted and flew into the air. Before you hit the ground, you are saved by an unknown creature.
You followed the unknown creature as she ran down the trail ahead of you, but you were unable to catch up. However, the creature leaves your first weapon, a Scaly Spear, and your Axian companion on the path you were taking.
Along the way, you and your partner battled off invader monsters, behemoths, and other creatures that are typically large and frightening. As you followed the path, you ran into two guardians you had met earlier: Laena and Cian. The invaders have them cornered.
You have the option to help them fight against the invaders or just allow them to be beaten. Laena rewarded you with a Slippery Shield for choosing the right thing and told you that Luna is on the east side and needs your assistance. You move to the route ahead, where you saw Luna effortlessly repelling many intruders. She tells you to join others at the wall AXS defense line, but you refuse it and tell her that you want to assist her in ascension to the throne and safeguard the Royalties. Luna accepts and admires your spirit. She has decided to let you join the team.
Following the road with Reppi (Axian companion) and Luna, you come across BiFang, the Invader's ferocious monster, a lower rank one. You can let Luna deal with it if you keep your distance, but you can also deal good damage yourself. The three of you entered the Lunacian Throne Chamber after defeating BiFang, where the Queen and Little Princess are using teleportation spells to transport people to safety.
The Little Princess barely has time to celebrate your arrival when an unknown presence enters the room- an asymmetrical figure appears on the throne, knocking you all too prone with strange magic. The Little Princess frantically runs around, pleading you to wake up. She ends up using a mysterious power to seal the figure with chains and passes out.
You are the third person to wake up after the Queen and Luna. The Queen warns you that the seal will break soon. You all agree to teleport when she tells you to.
The Queen takes you to the skies, but the figure trails you and begins shooting magic at you as you fly away. The figure causes both the Queen and Luna to fall and because you dont know how to fly, you fell as well. Luckily, the princess didn't get any scratches because you're able to hug her before the fall down. As you.... arms as if you're about to fight the last and greatest one just in your first day.
While strongly holding her hand, you heard the Queen shout your name and tell you a command that's neither pleasing nor irrational, "Knight! Escape with the princess and go somewhere safe! Don't worry about us here. Luna and I will try to distract this monster. Please, take care of my child," while shedding a couple of tears in her eyes like it'll be the last hour of her life.
"No mother! I won't leave you!" the princess exclaimed.
"No Luna, you won't. I'll always be right beside you," throwing a sparkling necklace towards the princess as her parting gift. "Take care of her," she added and the only response you can think of is a nod.
"Are you all done with your kisses and goodbyes my Queen? Coz I really need a help here," Luna reiterated.
You immediately grab the princess towards a secret door inside the chamber that routes out of the land.
Few steps after passing the door, you heard a massive explosion that you're sure came from the chamber. Tho schocked and frightened you both are, you still proceeded to run out of the scene because hoping their sacrifices won't be in vain.
Hours have passed and you got out in a vined door located in an uphill hundreds of meters away from the castle. You saw how devastated the whole area became that resulted to great ruins in different part of the kingdom. Shattered pieces of walls and houses. Scattered monsters on every corner. You can't fathom how big the damages are neither have time to process it all.
"Let's go," the princess firmly said.
"But where? Look, everything here is already destroyed and the woods is also a no safe place. We can't-," and before you could even end your sentence, she glared at you and replied.
"Not where. But when."
