Buzzup Lunacians!
It's been more than a week since I did some update here. And yeah, same reasons m'lords and m'lady, college life really drains out most of my time. I already thought at first that this phase of education is damn hard but I didn't expect that it would be "this" hard. Fortunately, I got some comrades that get to sympathize with my burdens which are my classmates.
Nevertheless, I still get to do my rest, and my rest is arts.
(Okay, I know that's cliche but I just had to do it. Hahaha).

This pretty mad piece I made here is an entry for @putraysiraq fan art contest for his 100th stream milestone on twitch. I saw it around a day after he posted this tweet:

By that time, I only had 3 days before the deadline and thrills me because again, I'm fond to challenges. You'll know it if you have seen my other contest related blogs. I really like the adrenaline of messed up schedules and time management. Well, I know it's not something to be proud of, having poor time management, but it's just really satisfying when you accomplish it all defying the boundaries of deadlines. Take note, I also have a chunk of activities in school by the time I'm making it. Lol. Overall, It's really a great experience for me.

PROCESS

Whenever I draw, I just use the help of google on searching for color palettes. It's much easier and conventional. Many kinds of palettes are available there and you just have to be distinct on how you want it to become.

Aftet choosing a palette, I can immediately start some outlines and few shades depending on my mood or on how easily I can layer it with each other.

I then proceed with the colors of the subjects and few shadings and details. This part for me is kinda tricky because I always get lost on layers and all of a sudden, there's some insignificant dot that still frustrates me to find.

I also decided to separate the two axies so that the layers won't be so many in a single project (my phone lags every time it has bulk of layers).

INSPIRATIONS

Well of course it's necessary to use the pfp as some reference point. I got the color shades here and basically the very look or imagery of putra. What I got here are basically the significant features of him like the skin color, eye glass, prolly the shape of his, his hair do and all.

)

I got these two in the marketplace just as what he noted in the tweet. I decided to put them both in the work so that it wouldn't be so lonely seeing only one. Besides, it's two of his favorite acies, who am I to just out one.

Ever since I was a kid, I've always liked this kind of helicopter pilot hat with goggles. It just gives me this vibes of Indiana Jones or The Mummy films. Basically the adventurous mood of it. I think it also reflects the commemoration of Putra's journey or his 100th stream milestone in Twitch.

Lastly, the main theme of the work like the sky diving stuff is all on me. I mean I thought it would be good to see it like that because it represents courage he has on taking those leaps of his journey. That's the main idea to it.

RESULTS

The prize is big and there are so many great entries that really deserved it. I'm so glad I even got tpo be on 6th place. Also appreciated all the kind words he said on his stream about my work. I think that really paid off my efforts.
