The sunset had been done for a few hours now.
As the egg timer of the Mt. Kuila-ay-wey is already nearing its end, it means the country can call it a day.
The egg timer floats at the highest peak, which serves as the tool that measures the time of the whole Bug country. Even from the burrows, this egg timer is very much visible as it radiates, connecting and sifting through all corners with a mirrored portal that displays the time.
This moment is the parallel time when Uy Scuti started to sleep through as exhaustion slowly crawled her being.
Herd Scuti, the Count of Great Hurrāy, the ruler of the zenith of Eruhi. Stood in front of the soldiers gathered in battalions. His voice trembled like thunder and a stare that almost melted the suits covered by these witless beings.
Her wife, Uri Scuti, had been crying for hours for not reaching their princess in her sleep and finding out she had run away from home.
His voice roared again as another soldier reasoned out,
"The princess uses stealth mode, my Lord."
His staff clung around the whole Scuti manor into the grounds,where the soldier lined up into a long array.
"You are trained and went to wars. How come a princess who always ran away from the academy ran off to your agile eyes?!"
The soldiers remained silent. He is at a loss. He felt remorse.
When he is busy protecting the zenith and implementing laws, he forgets that he is a father too.
He knew as far that the princess was always rogue.
She ran away from the Lunacian Academy years back and continued her studies at home. Sometimes, the princess was labeled with descriptions that put his title on the line for being cruel to these Axies. Still, as will-hearted as the Uy that he knew, she always remained on her ground, unshaken. Knowing that a simple, rough-cut decision could make her run away without proper notice makes the whole scenario extremely poignant from their hearts, especially to her wife. Instead, Uy left a letter that made the whole household guilty for not hearing her out, found in his study before the sunset broke into their eyes.
Uy being the youngest of the Scuti family, had been opinionated and loud. Even when her older brother teased her for being a big red bug compared to them who share the same umber color as the Count, she never made a fuss of it. Instead of seeing their princess cry, they would hear her reason out,
"Being red doesn't make me just a Bug, and you boys being umber means you are a Dusk. Living off the Bug country, you should not be recognized as Axies that belongs in here."
And the family would remember her snappy face and darted big peach eyes. It would roll 360 degrees and still manage to look cute and firm at the same time.
The Count dismissed the soldiers.
Uy had been so proud of herself for her stealthy ability, which is the only thing she mastered back in the Lunacian Academy. Aside from those, the mastery of her ability had never been polished. Thus, she never had her insect wings as her mother, being a bug royalty.
The whole manor is as quiet as the night when the Count entered. The two princes sat across each other and into deep thinking while the wife in the middle slowly shed tears, holding the piece of the paper.
He went close and kissed his wife's forehead, thinking it would ease the pain she was feeling. He holds the paper scented in lavender, Uy's favorite perfume.
He exhaled this and castigated himself. As the foundation of their household, he wouldn't show any emotions. His boys, who are always firm and naughty, had been feeling lowly too. There should be at least one in the family who can control their emotions to not fall apart.
He started rummaging the sheets, and the first word it appears makes his eyes water.
He heaved a sigh, chose to stand again to distance himself from the three who were stuck in their abstraction.
Father,
I'm sorry.
The moment you may have read this letter, I'm already out of the peak and exploring the different stations of the country.
Isn't it exciting?
To show my revolt to my brothers and the council who had voted 'yes' for the arranged marriage of elite Axie women to the strongest men in the country, I thought it would be a big step for me to first run away from home.
You guys of the family should have known that elite women means, including me. If you don't value women, mother or me, isn't it stupid enough to disregard the feelings of those women whose happiness will be put at stake to address the country's economic problem? You may have known better, aside from the country, we also have one source of life. The heart of the Lunacian Kingdom- the Smooth Love Potion lake and the Queen.
Anyhow, you shouldn't look for me. I will come back stronger, braver, and wiser than any three of you men without balls in the family. I will fight through my destiny and grow to be the most passionate leader in Bug History.
Tell mother I love her so much. Tell her I'm so sorry for leaving home without telling her my goodbyes. Hug her every night as I hugged her tight in my dreams. Stand by her when you hear other bugs demean her for not being worthy as the duchess to stay by your side.
Father, tell my brothers to stop being stupid. To never take women as objects or as possession. No women should feel like they are trophies to be loved and to be cared for. And please express my decision to the council.
Remember, if the world goes against your father, I will go against them too. My decisions were final and irrevocable.
Dearly wait for me to come home strong. Don't worry enough and make this country liveable than the rest of the 5 counties. The high heaven territories did not let you rule the zenith to become this low.
When the time comes, I'll meet the Queen and travel forth to the heart of the Lunacian Kingdom. It wasn't long ago since I wasn't there, but I know places to run on without being in grave danger.
Always remember, when the sunset turns into dusk, I'm already away from the field and staying safe.
I love you all, always and forever. But you cannot change my feelings of wanting to become the leader I am destined to be.

P.S. Don't come taking me home when the whole country still don't prosper.
As the last words mark into the Count's mind, a magical pop happens. Into the putrid small garden that Uy cultivates arise small buds. And so, the whole family is cognizant of what that bud means.
The prophecy, as foretold, will go as planned. No matter how hard they stop it or no matter circumstance hinder the destined path for Uy.
It happens so fast, and they did not know that it will happen in this age.
