Young and Ambitious College Women, we may be called the Fantastic four.
HOW WE MET EACH OTHER
It wasn't long ago when we started the pursuit of our dreams and aspired for our future. Having four women who are born and raised in the countryside of three different regions in the Luzon, namely: Cordillera Administrative Region (Dani), Region I (Zari and Isla), and Region 2 (M and Isla), fate had brought us together and met in Baguio City, which later on becomes the abode of our lofty dreams and mature self.
Meeting each other was indeed awkward at first and unexpected.
On her first day as a transfer student in Vigan City, Isla met Zari around nine (9) years ago, on her family's departure to their hometown in Santa Catalina, Cagayan. Isla and Zari's almost a decade of friendship, their connection had led us to meet each other.
Zari met Dani at the university, the first day of their university class (2018). Being new to the environment and sharing the same native language (Ilocano), they became comrades and later became friends. Dani met Isla through Zari the same year.
Dani met M through Zari, as she is one of her school friends who happens to stay in the same dormitory as the three (Isla, Zari, and Dani). Early this year, they met each other after the pandemic after Dani's return to the city for a face-to-face class.
HOW WE CLICKED TOGETHER
First impressions last for a few, and those impressions change when you can stay with those people every day for almost 24/7. Since the four of us remain in one dormitory, except that we are staying in four different room units, we always had the time each day to sit together, talk, and most of the time, eat.
Eating may be the reason that binds us together because food is life.
Missing home with the comfort of each other, we rarely feel alone in a city where most people are strangers. Through those times we spent together- to share stories, laughter, shed tears, and achievements- we, later on, feel like we belong in one family.
Feeling like we are a family of four girls, we spent each other's birthday together this year as the three, Isla, Zari, and M, turned 22, and Dani turned 21.
There are many more reasons why it makes us inseparable. Well, aside from Dani going back to the countryside early this November, nothing changed more.
HOW AXIE INFINITY IS INTRODUCED TO US
Suppose it is about technology and stuff you don't understand but feel like you want to, some emotions you want to let go of. In that case, Dani always has a say on everything and always had the avenue to convince you to believe even if you can't understand- hence, the introduction of cryptocurrency, trading, and of course, axie infinity.
Being the dreamer she is and loving to try things that make her happy, Dani got a lot of offers about axie infinity scholarships but later on, turned the five and chose to stay on her current guild because their community is about giving back.
WHY DID WE CHOOSE AXIE LORE
Words are written in a manner to express what you feel and touch the heart of the many.
Writing is not all about touching lives, imparting change, leaving something up to your name, but being yourself without pleasing anyone else.
Axielore, or Axie Lore is, as proposed by Dani, if we can't play the game, we can write something about the game.
Writing has always been something sacred to the four of us, something that keeps us motivated and on the right track.
Letters turned into words, and a phrase that makes up something into its tremendous meaning had been our safe place. Our creativity shaped us from the bottom when we all are struggling individuals. Our ambiguity is what makes the spice of our friendship. We learn together, and we aspire.
One more semester, and we don't know where our paths take us, but as of the moment, we are to write something that would make up our youth before transcending to our full-blown mature self.
