Good day ,
Today i went out into the garden armed with two cameras, two flashllights and two differend lenses .
This is my contribution to the #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay .
I spotted this tiny bee in the back of the garden sitting on a grass leaf it was still a bit cold so i summed it was resting or warming up , until i noticed something in the second photo
Chelostoma rapunculi / Grote klokjesbij
Chelostoma rapunculi / Grote klokjesbij
It looked like it had laid an egg , a strange place for a bee like that normaly they lay their eggs in the ground or in hollow stems. So i was surprised to see this on a grass leaf. After that the bee took off and i lost sight of it.
While i was looking for that tiny bee i did spot this little damselfy , the downside of this macro lens is the thin line of things you can get in focus in one shot, yes you could use a tripod with automated focus stacking equipment but that is not my thing.
Ischnura elegans / Blue-tailed damselfly / Lantaarntje
after i scared it off it moved to the verbena flowers , this damselfly is only +/- 30mm long not really big but too big to fit in one frame when you use 2.5 magnification .
And then it moved on again this timeit hang on to grass leaf
i had time for one more shot and off it went.
Then i spotted this little one sitting on one of my scabiosa flowers
didn't look to happy probably because of the cold it didn't move
it remained very calm while i was taking pictures of it
and nope it's to big to fit completly in the picture with 2.5 magnification
but for a portrait shoot it is just fine
Time to switch cameras ...
same bee was still warming up on that flower
poppy flower / klaproos
poppy with snapdragons in the background
Kniphofia
Dipsacus fullonum / wild teasel / Kardebol flower bud , I bought this one last year and now it's almost 2 meters high already , the benefit is that i has a nice flower and in winter birds will eat the seeds and after that you can dry it and use it for decoration.
another poppy as a result of seeding wildflowers in the garden.
Echinops / kogeldistel still not fllowering wont be long , another flower that i hope to be able to dry after it has flowerd.
and then i spotted that the small shrub roses started to flower... fun fact i bought them both as white roses , they don't look that white to me .
This one is harder on the pink colout while the other one is a bit softer on the pink.
These rose flowers are 20mm in diameter so they are not that big
but they still have a nice scent
Well that is it for today hope you have enjoyed the tour in my garden, if you have any questions about the garden or my photography feel free to ask in the comments .

Beautiful captures. Lucky you do get a few shots before they take off 😎
Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the afternoon 👋🏻😊
early morning in the cold they are still slow like a sloth
Aha… that makes sense. 🤓
Oh, you still have the word brilliant on your program! Such a stunning shot of the poppies with snapdragons in the back. I remember you telling me how they are like slugs moving as it is brisk in the morning, a great tip for us who are looking to capture shots of insects.
Thanks for the beauty you shared!
thank you for stopping by Denise , yeah i'm happy to have some poppies again in the garden , but we could also use some rain in the garden again :)
I could send you some, but, I think our April showers that bring May flowers are on hiatus!
Well, those guns you took into the garden shot very well, but only because there was a great sensitivity behind them. I'm a fan of macro photography. It always captivates me.
And so do you think that's an egg, because I understand they do that in honeycombs. Maybe she didn't have time to get to the poor thing.

i'm still in doubt , waiting on confirmation from people that actually know the real deal it's just that the before and after picture makes it look like it. I enjoy taking macro photos a lot it's that time of the day that your mind is with nothing else but those things you see through the lens.
I imagine so, I can't because I don't have the equipment for that. Maybe someday... hey, by the way, I like the yellow essay thing hahaha... sounds interesting that. I've already been thinking about something to show.
you are welcome to participate until Saturday 0:00 am GMT+2 , looking forward to your 5 photos and 150 words . Good equipment for macro is a must to get these results and a lot of practice too :)
