Hello fellas, after a week of not posting something, I am here bringing you another story to read.
It was a few days ago when we had our training for responder. But before that, we have the on boarding in which we can determine who can join. If you are one of us, then you will experience a roller coaster ride kind of adventure. We laughed together, cried together, learned together, and slept together.
Different instructors from different fields of emergency. We had CPR/BSL Instructor, Fire fighter, VAPE, and ICS. Before we had those different activities from different instructors, our Head Adviser was the one who made it possible. With the help of our college administrator. Together with him we, the students that he empowered, had a talk with some of the instructors, and processed the things that needed to be done.
Different topics had been discussed. After those discussions, we do it in practice. We are paired/ grouped to make use of what we have heard by doing it practically. Different approaches have been done. At first, it's hard to do. But after how much repetition, you will learn the basics and apply the most complex.
Imagine waking up at 2am to do the simulation. We laughed at how other applicants reacted and some cried because of disappointment for not being able to finish the task.
We may be away from our families, but being together, bond as one, we ourselves become family. At first, it is hard to communicate and seek for others to talk together. But as time goes by, you will be amazed by the bond people make in the training. It is like they have been together for years. If you were there, you will see how they mind others if everyone has eaten, if everyone is ready for the exercise, for the training, and other activities.
Thus, it doesn't end. On the last we had a Rescue Night that made us enjoy and have entertainment. Well, I am not prepared for the intermission number. Yet, we are there to enjoy and entertain others. Why not try. After the night of enjoyment, in the morning, Some of us had been deployed to rescue and help with the repacking of relief goods since there was a typhoon. It was my first time to do it with an organization and by the city. I was so overwhelmed to be one of the helping hands of other people who needed help. I am still amazed by what I am more capable of doing with my organization that I am in. I am looking forward to being a helping hand to others in the near future. Before we packed our things, we sat in a circle. Telling each one of us with the secrets, or stories in life that we wanted to intrust to our buddies. There are some who act as tough but deep inside, they have their own battles to face. They say that, "We will not know that someone is already on the verge of problems, unless you will sit and talk with them."
My friend, our training doesn't only focus on the learnings about emergencies, yet there is something to uncover. Find comfort with someone you trust.
I see you were all having a great time. Yes, trainings are not only for learning but it is more of discovering many things too such as camaraderie and all. Have a great day!
Have a great day too @pinkchic

Thank you @hivebuzz
I've been into many camps already, and I swear, the intermission number part is one of the most nerve-wrecking and at the same time the most fun part! Like I get to do the things my younger self has never imagined.
I agree with you @melancholiaa. I was so nervous but at the same time enjoyed it.
