It has always been a song people sing to me growing as a young teenager calling me #SHORT BOY# but I never allowed that overwhelmed me but used that avenue to proof to them that the size doesn’t matter but my capacity, capabilities as well as ability should be what they should be focuse on to help me bring out the best in me.
During my manifesto, standing before the congregation was the question what Post I will like to go for? Without Hesitation and every confidence in me I responded I want to be the school #LABOUR PERFECT# The entire congregation was amazed by my answer and so they all laughed. The next question was If someone who is twice bigger than my size didn’t obey my instructions to work in clearing the school field as an example what will I do? So a answered # I WILL REPORT TO THE MANAGEMENT # Hearing my response they all clapped for me.
It was such a wonderful Privilege to serve as the assistant Labour prefect. I was able to learn how to teamwork With the other prefect and also staff's of the entire school. I also got to know how to relate with my fellow students and that also made me to Learn a lot from them and how to relate with them in a better way.
Further more I usually was a shy person standing in front of crowds of students and staff to address and give directives to the students on what to do was such a great challenge to me. But at the course of me serving as a prefect of the school that was now my past as I could stand confidently to give speech and address a large number of People.
In addition, the person I was assisting was huge so no one dare disobey my instructions as we always stand together ensuring that all students keep their classes clean as well as the entire school compound.
At the end of everything I was able to proof to those who were singing short boy to my hearing that the body stature doesn’t matter but what The person can do and doing it with everything in him.
Though you don't have to prove anybody anything at all, It's a wonderful thing to stand in your power and strength and not be discourage with what your classmates or other people say about your physical attributes. As long as you are true to yourself and didn't hurt anybody then you are already an amazing person.
