Hello guys
I'm here again to enlighten us on something very bad and inappropriate that Is "practicing cramming which is a wrong study method to adopt"
Done this with my Canva
In the fast-paced world of academia,we the students are sometimes overwhelmed by a plethora of courses and tasks. As a consequence, the notorious study practice of "cramming" has grown in popularity of our various schools. Cramming is the practice of attempting to absorb a considerable quantity of knowledge in a short period of time, often the night before a test or a deadline. While cramming may give momentary reprieve from stress, it is ultimately a fruitless and harmful study strategy. we'll be looking at why cramming is a horrible study approach and look at some healthy options for better learning.
Cramming is more about short-term memory than long-term retention. Cramming overloads pupils' brains with information, making it harder for the brain to encode and retain the facts correctly. As a consequence, although they may do quite well in the short term, such as passing an exam, the information gained is rapidly lost. This poor retention contradicts the purpose of learning, since the long-term objective of education should be to acquire and apply information.
One of cramming's main problems is that it prioritizes quantity above quality. Students may be able to retain data and formulae, but they often lack a thorough comprehension of the topic. Learning is more than just repeating knowledge; it is about comprehending underlying principles and connecting disparate ideas. We the Students will struggle to apply our information in real-life circumstances if we do not have a solid grasp, which is an important part of education.
Cramming sets in motion a cycle of tension and worry. As the deadline approaches, we feel increasing pressure to memorize more and more material. This increased tension might cause panic, impairing ourr ability to focus and learn successfully. Burnout and a detrimental influence on overall academic performance might come from the toll taken on mental and emotional well-being.
Cramming time limits offer little space for thought and critical thinking. Learning is not only absorbing knowledge; it requires active interaction with the the task we ahead of us. Students who cram lose out on opportunities to ask questions, seek clarification, and participate in conversations. These exercises provide a better grasp of the subject matter and improve analytical abilities, both of which are necessary for academic success and beyond.
Cramming information is often short-lived, resulting in poor performance in following tests and courses that build on past assignments or task. Concepts from many topics often overlap, and students who lack a firm foundation may struggle to stay up with the curriculum as it continues. Cramming, in the end, impairs overall academic advancement and might have a negative influence on future employment opportunities.
My dear Hivers, learning never ends you know,I advise we all to practice the best and proper study method rather than adopting the wrong study method as we do just that our good God will give us the brain and strength to study really hard
Thank you
These days students read to pass and not to know. It's bad but we comprehend faster when cramping than when we read to know.
