Good day Hivers,
I'm here again to discuss with you all briefly how I was bullied and how I handled it
Edited with my Canva
I was in Junior Secondary School 1 in Emotan nursery primary and secondary school when it happened. It was my first time and term at my new school and class I was a shy and introverted kid back then, and I didn't have many friends. There was these twin in my class who wanted me to be friends with me but I refused, ever since I was often the target of their jokes and pranks.
One day, I was walking home from school when I was stopped by the twin in my class. They started calling me names and making fun of me. I tried to ignore them, but they wouldn't leave me alone. They started pushing me around, and one of them even punched me in the stomach and pushed me to the ground I fell to the ground with my bag hitting the ground so hard I taught it got torn
Just me alone in pain both physically and mentally with no one to help me, they left me on the floor scared and the rain home I didn't know what to do then I stood up there, after being humiliated
I walked home in tears. I didn't want to tell my parents what had happened, because I was afraid they would be angry with me for getting into a fight and not being able to defend myself cause we were age mates So I kept it to myself so that I wouldn't be regarded as a weakling
The next day, I went to school with a heavy heart. I was afraid that they would come after me again. But to my surprise, they didn't. So I wasn't ready to go through what I went through yesterday so I rush down to our staff room, met my form mistress with great fear I laid my complaint It wasn't easy at first. I was still scared of getting hurt, but I knew that I had to do it. I had to stand up for myself, or I would just be a victim again
she asked me to go get them. I did get them to our staff room, and she gave them a strict warning about bullying and its consequences and asked them to apologize to me, they were given 10stroke of Cain each for such irresponsible act at the assembly ground the next morning as a clear warning to others who were in the act and ever since I wasn't bullied by them anymore
From that day on, I started to assert myself more. I didn't let the other kids push me around, and I didn't let them make fun of me. I stood up for myself, and I wasn't afraid to fight back.
That incident changed me. I realized that I couldn't let the other kids push me around anymore. I had to stand up for myself, even if it meant getting hurt.
it taught me an important lesson about sharing your problem with the right person if you need help always meet the right person that you know would help you or give you the best advice
I know that not everyone has the same experience as I did. Some people are bullied for years, and they never learn to stand up for themselves. But I hope that my story will inspire others to stand up for themselves, even if it's hard. You don't have to be a victim. You can be strong and stand up for yourself.
So if you're being bullied, I urge you to stand up for yourself. Don't let the other kids push you around. You are stronger than you think you are.
This is a great story.
Most kids wouldn't have the bravery to stand up for themselves or report to the right authority for fear of one thing or the other. And this experience taught something crucial to be learnt that early.
Thank you for sharing this story, as people read it, may it gave them strength to be able to be as courage as you were.
Nice narration!
What a courageous story here. Good one sharing!
