Hello, everybody,

Today, there is something very special that I must share with you. This is an amazing life experience that I'll never forget.

It is the story of how I traveled from Africa to Dubai in Saudi Arabia and found myself a best friend.

Yes, I’m telling you this right. Sometimes your very close companion can be in another continent entirely just as it happened to me.

Infact, I was the one that introduced her to the Hive Blockchain and you can follow her @lisafox

Let me take you back to where we started from. I used to live in a small town somewhere in Africa.

The life was simple but interesting. One day my parents decided that we should move to Dubai for better opportunities.

This was a big transformation for me leaving everything behind that seemed familiar at the time. However this change came with an amazing person into my life little did I know about it.

I kicked off school after we had settled in our new home in Dubai.

Gosh, I was so scared! Another place, people of different origins and everything seemed to be strange. But then came Lisa my way. We were classmates with Lisa and when we met for the first time we felt like old friends.

Lisa and I gelled immediately. Soccer and video games were our common passions. Our diverse backgrounds or countries never mattered at all.

Isn’t friendship said to have no borders?

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and before long, Lisa and myself became inseparable. From getting lost in town together to preparing for exams as a team- anything you could think of us doing everything together.

My friendship with her meant the world to me; it was something that I didn’t know I needed until I found it.

To make things worse, we now attend the same school. Can you imagine? From complete strangers in a strange land to almost being sisters, our journey has been nothing short of incredible.

Lisa is not just my closest friend; she is like a sister to me.

Well it’s funny how life goes sometimes. You never know who you may meet or where your best friend could find you. But the one thing that remains constant, finding someone who understands and accepts you for who you are is the absolute greatest feeling ever.

Of course, we come from different cultures and speak different languages at homes, but none of this when we are together matters.

We have taught each other so much about our customs, norms and aspirations for the future.

The thing that I’ve grown to love about friendship is its ability to defy geographical constraints and bring people together in unexpected ways.

Although Lisa and I began our journey on opposite sides of the planet, we are now walking hand-in-hand, facing whatever life hurls at us.

Thus, if you ever find yourself in a new place feeling disoriented or deserted, recall this – your truest friend might be somewhere there waiting for you.

For all we know, they may be awaiting you on a completely different continent, ready to take that plunge with you.

Until then keep spreading love and harmony wherever you go; it is because of that the world has become a better place.
