Lunch ๐ฅ
Today, I enjoyed a hearty and colorful homemade meal lovingly prepared by my beloved wife. My plate was filled with tender chunks of pork cooked to perfection, accompanied by a medley of vegetables. The dish featured juicy pieces of pork, succulent potatoes, vibrant carrots, and sweet raisins, all simmered together in a savory sauce that tied the flavors beautifully. The meal was served with a generous portion of fluffy white rice, which absorbed the rich sauce and complemented the hearty ingredients perfectly. This wholesome and comforting dish was not only delicious but also packed with nutrients, making it a satisfying choice for lunch.
Desserts ๐ฌ
No meal is complete without a sweet treat, and today I indulged in some delightful desserts. First up were the matcha-flavored O-Puffs, which offered a light and airy texture with a subtle yet refreshing taste of green tea. These puffs were a perfect blend of sweetness and the unique bitterness of matcha, making for an exciting and exotic dessert experience.
To add a touch of nostalgia, I also enjoyed a piece of milky polvoron, a classic treat that brought back fond memories. The polvoron had a rich, buttery flavor with a crumbly texture that melted in my mouth. This traditional Filipino shortbread made from toasted flour, powdered milk, sugar, and butter was a delightful end to my meal, providing a comforting and familiar taste that I always look forward to.
