Hello everyone! I just want to share with you my experience in the past 2 weeks (Feb. 26 - March 9). Before that the Department of Tourism's (DOT) Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) successfully conducted eight (8) hours of wonderful training for volunteers, which was held at the Tarlac State University, Lucinda Campus, College of Education (COEd) 5th floor on February 23, 2024. In this seminar we gained knowledge about the 7M's of Filipino Core Values were **MAKA-DIYOS, MAKATAO, MAKA-KALIKASAN, MAKABANSA, MASAYAHIN, MAY BAYANIHAN, and MAY PAG-ASA**. And the greetings for the guest which are the "MABUHAY" gesture and "SALAMAT PO".
We, the Bachelor of Physical Education invited to be a volunteer in such a big event The 11th Asian Age Group Championships were held at the Philippines, New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac, Aquatic Center, from February 26 to March 9, 2024. There are more than 1,300 athletes in this sport, representing 32 countries. Moreover, four aquatic sports were played, including swimming, diving, artistic swimming, and water polo. During this event, I was amazed to be part of a volunteer team because this was a big event, and different countries participated in this event. For me, it is a privilege to be a part of this event. Among the many students in our department, I was one of those chosen to be a volunteer. It was a memorable experience for me. This is an international event, so opportunities like this should not be missed.
As a volunteer, it's fun but a bit difficult. I was happy because I experienced being a volunteer in this event, and it was difficult because there were so many people who participated. Like getting the clothes of the players, assisting them when they can't find their things. It's hard to communicate because others don't know or understand English. But I feel good because I can help them and I can fulfill my work as a volunteer.
I can say that it is a wonderful experience for me. I appreciated to be a volunteer, I will never forget this opportunity. Thank you ma'am joanna for your trust that I can lead my functional area which is SPORT AND COMPETITION. Thank you AAGC! Until nextime hihihi!
