The flower resembles one of the swamp birds that has a similar appearance, the cucak rowo bird is one of the birds that has a melodious voice, usually living in swamps. But what you see in this post is an ornamental flower similar to the bird. So people call it the Cucak Rowo flower.
This flower which is often referred to in scientific language as Pedilanthus Bracteatus is often dominated by women in our area, meaning that it has long been adopted as an ornamental plant, as I recall, it has been an ornamental plant since our grandmother cultivated it.
Hearing its name, it turns out that cucak rowo is not only owned by birds but also ornamental flowers. If you look deeper, it turns out that the naming is in the territory of Indonesia based on the character of flowers that resemble the faces of birds that often play in the swamps, the beauty of flowers is the main thing that is noticed, by lovers of course seen from the shape, especially when viewed from the very color, matching red and green.
The color harmony becomes a benchmark in a natural nuance and of course very suitable and interesting to be enjoyed at all times. The leaves are red while the group is in the shape of a bird's face, with a very special green color as if if you look closely you can see an advantage that cannot be expressed in words.
The special red leaves will open up more when they grow and soar in the direction they like, although sometimes it seems that there are no petals that have grown yet, they also look beautiful and charming, so I personally really like them.
As mentioned above, this plant is classified as an ornamental plant. It has an ideal size with a height of about 60 centimeters to 100 centimeters, becoming the center of attention of lovers in the ornamental plant arena. Uniquely, in one stem, there are usually leaves and beautiful flowers that look like cucak rowo birds, this is what makes women really like it.
I used to think that there was only one type of this plant, but when I asked the ornamental plant traders, they said that this flower is not only one type. Although I didn't see the other species directly, they are smaller in size and have a zigzag stem shape (remarks, ornamental plant seller).
However, the cucak rowo flower that I have is one type that has a larger stature with the size above. Do you know why every lover often adopts and cultivates it? Of course there are several reasons that follow the explanation in the kencah.

Besides having a beautiful shape and color, the reason why people like to cultivate it is because this flower is very easy to breed, from personal experience caring for it is not as difficult as other ornamental flowers, as long as it provides adequate water intake and sufficient sunlight intake, cucak rowo ornamental plant this, will continue to develop according to your expectations.
If you are diligent in watering every day and give it a minimal amount of sunlight, it will continue to grow and flower as you can see in this post. With the ease of care as mentioned above, people in various countries, including the Middle East, Indonesia and several other countries, participate in cultivating it. Then to develop it, you don't need to have a large area, you can plant it in flower pots both large and small, but if you want to see it grow faster in its original form, plant it in soil that has good nutrients. In our own family we have cultivated it for 10 years and to this day, it is still alive and thriving in our front yard.
We plant it in a large flower pot or about 50 cm high, the width of the pot lip about 30 cm, and water it once a day and the flowers are not blocked by sunlight, so they last long or according to your wishes. Uniquely, since this plant was cultivated, there were no pests or plant diseases that attacked every part of the plant, both stems, leaves, and flowers. Especially when in the morning the beautiful flowers look even more beautiful with all their joy, at first glance they look like birds enjoying the morning with the rising sun.
This ornamental plant, which our region calls cucak rowo, is extraordinary, it has extraordinary and spectacular body resistance. It is able to adapt to various temperatures (especially our region), it continues to live and develop over time, if you continue to cultivate it.
