This issue has been baffling me since two days ago and I think I should write on it to see if am the only one that thinks so. There is an ongoing issues here in Nigeria ,a nollywood actor arrested for molestation of a 14 year old girl which the girl also claimed he raped him 7 years ago but Before I continue,what is 'rape and molestation.?
Rape is a sexual assault in which someone falsely or without the victim acceptance or agreement have sex. It is the penetration ,no matter how slight of the vigina or anus with anybody part or object, without the consent of the victim. It is the most serious types of crimes, which is happening in this century.
What is molestation? Molestation occurs to children when:
They are touched in an appropriate manner or forced to perform oral sex.
Now, the issue that now baffles me are our people. Another Nollywood actress came out to speak and tell people that she despise rapist and that there must be justice. Instead of our people to support her and stand against an immoral act,instead some came out saying he just molested the girl that it is different.
Pls, how is it different? Isn't it molestation that leads to rape?should they have be patient for him to start having sex with her before they go in to get him? I am really annoyed. Why is it that we Nigerians, especially the yoruba's tribe never have one voice. This man has done something wrong and we should all stand against it in order to stop the act.
I would appreciate to hear and receive your thoughts about this.
I say no to rape,molestation and assault.
i watched the video and that doesn't look like he was molesting the girl.. The girl even hugged him!
