Boarding school or day school,which one did you prefer?. My neighbours were arguing on a topic today "which is best,boarding or day school". For me, I prefer boarding school and would advise anyone who is financially capable to sponsor the fees. Boarding school is the best,am not saying its does not have its disadvantages but I can bet with you that its disadvantages is far less than that of day school.
Most of boarding school students are most find to be independent and self reliant. They solve their most problems themselves without their parents intervention. They are well discipline,their meals time,study time and if they are allowed to watch television are all set, this helps them achieve their goals.
They advanced in social interaction,when they have study, live and mingle with other children from different background,its makes them able to associate and cope with anybody. Its improve group development. Boarding school students are also introduced to a lot of activities that will improve and advanced their learning.
Most people are afraid to send their children to boarding school, most think they would cultivate bad behavior from their friends and will be hard for them to control .
But I will advise you to do these things if u are sending your child to the hostel.
Make sure you talk to your child your child, tell him the reason why you are sending him there,is for his own good and tell him you are not abandoning him but want him to be better than others.
Always make sure to check on him because he will be spending most of his time in school, reach out to his guidance, teacher in school and check on his performance in class.
When he report or tell you what is worrying him, make sure you follow it up and find solution to it because that is the most common fault of parents.
Make sure you keep a watch out for any signs of unhappiness whenever he comes home, he might not tell you because he won't want to worry you or thinks he didn't want to disappoint you.
Always make sure you spend your time with him whenever he comes home, take him out, go for picnic, have fun with him and let him fell free with u to discus anything. Always ask questions concerning his school.
I think with these, your child is good to go and will do just fine.
