COLONY: the Arcade Colony Governance Token | My Journey Starts Here!
Less than a week ago, I told you about a mega-giveaway organized by @arcadecolony and @keychain with tons of prizes up for grabs.
On February 18th, the winners were announced, and if you're among them, well, congratulations!
Unfortunately, I wasn't among them, and so my hope of kickstarting my investment in Moonkarts at zero cost and with a turbo boost vanished...
... but that doesn't mean I've given up!
To do what?

The fact is that lately I've been reading - as alwaysMoonkarts continues to be a solid game with a certain appeal: the Mario Kart-style formula definitely has potential and a broad audience that could be interested, and the high prices of items in the marketplace suggest that those playing the game are not willing to part with what they own easily. - several posts by @libertycrypto27 and noticed how
Moreover, Moonkarts is the flagship game, along with Splinterlands, of the Arcade Colony platform, which aims to expand soon with other games and casinos - not that I'm a fan of the latter, but many people are, so undoubtedly there is potential to attract new users here as well.
In short, the takeaway is that I see Arcade Colony as a platform that, if the altseason arrives, could do very well, thanks to some well-established games - Splinterlands - others with evident potential - Moonkarts - and some projects capable of attracting a broad and diverse audience - casinos.
So maybe it's time to start investing something
At least, that's what has been spinning in my head for a few weeks.
And where to start?
Since the giveaway didn't go well, my attention now turns to the COLONY token, which serves as the governance token of the Arcade Colony platform - like SPS does for Splinterlands.
The COLONY token also has several utilities, so in case of Arcade Colony's success, it is likely to see its value increase.
Of course, this is only a possibility: currently, the value of this token is very low, and the whitepaper indicates a very abundant token distribution for many, many years to come.
So things could also easily go in the opposite direction, with the COLONY token continuing to lose value.
However, if I want to expose myself to this project in some way, I have to start somewhere.
And since I don't have the time to start playing and, anyway, even if I wanted to play, to receive rewards, you need to own a certain amount of COLONY - just like with SPS on Splinterlands - then I decided that I might as well start right here.
1k COLONY
It's a small number to start with, but since I already have about 800 COLONY, I thought why not buying a few hundred more to get over the 1000-token mark?
The first step is therefore taken, and I can already imagine a second one: continuing to buy small amounts of COLONY with the goal of reaching 10,000.
Does this number ring a bell to any of you who read my posts?
You're not wrong! It's the same goal I have for SPS on Splinterlands.
Yet another similarity between these two projects: after all, if things are going quite well for me on that side, why not try to build something similar here as well? :)

Meno di una settimana fa vi ho perlato di un mega-giveaway organizzato da @arcadecolony e @keychain con in palio una marea di premi.
Il 18 febbraio sono stati annunciati i vincitori e, se siete tra di loro, be', congratulazioni!
Sfortunatamente io non ero fra di loro e perciò la mia speranza di iniziare il mio investimento su Moonkarts a costo zero e con il turbo è svanita...
... ma questo non vuol dire che abbia deciso di rinunciare!

Il fatto è che ultimamente ho letto - come sempreMoonkarts continui ad essere un gioco solido e con un certo appeal: la formula alla Mario Kart ha sicuramente un potenziale e vasto bacino di utenti a cui potrebbe interessare ed i prezzi alti degli oggetti nel marketplace lasciano pensare che chi ci sta giocando non sia disposto a liberarsi facilmente di ciò che possiede. - diversi post di @libertycrypto27 e notato come
In più Moonkarts è il gioco di punta, insieme a Splinterlands, della piattaforma Arcade Colony, che punta ad espandersi presto con il gioco di altri giochi e casinò - non che sia un amante di questi ultimi, ma a molti piacciono, per cui indubbiamente anche qui ci sono le potenzialità per attrarre nuovi utenti.
Insomma, la morale è che vedo in Arcade Colony una piattaforma che, se la altseason dovesse arrivare, potrebbe fare molto bene, grazie ad alcuni giochi già ben stabiliti - Splinterlands - altri con dell'evidente potenziale - Moonkarts - e alcuni progetti capaci di attrarre un pubblico vasto ed eterogeneo - i casinò.
E quindi forse è il momento di cominciare ad investire qualcosa
O almeno questo è ciò che mi sta frullando nella testa da qualche settimana.
E da dove partire?
Visto che il giveaway non è andato bene, la mia attenzione si rivolge adesso al token COLONY, che costituisce il token della governance della piattaforma Arcade Colony - un po' come SPS lo è per Splinterlands.
Il token COLONY ha anche diverse utilità, per cui, in caso di successo della piattaforma Arcade Colony, è probabile che veda aumentare il suo valore.
Certo, si tratta solo di una possibilità: attualmente il valore di questo token è molto basso e il whitepaper prevede una distribuzione del token molto abbondante ancora per molti, molti anni.
Per cui le cose potrebbero anche andare tranquillamente nella direzione opposta, con il token COLONY che continuerà a perdere di valore.
Se voglio però espormi in qualche modo a questo progetto, da qualche parte devo iniziare.
E dato che non ho il tempo di iniziare a giocare e che comunque, anche volendo giocare, per ricevere ricompense è necessario possedere un certo quantitativo di COLONY - proprio come avviene con SPS su Splinterlands - allora ho deciso che tanto vale iniziare proprio da qui.

E' un piccolo numero per iniziare, ma avendo già circa 800 COLONY a disposizione ho pensato di comprarne qualche altro centinaio, così da andare oltre i 1000 token.
Un primo passo è quindi fatto e posso procedere con l'immaginarne un secondo: continuare ad acquistare piccole quantità di COLONY con l'obiettivo di arrivare ad averne 10.000.
A qualcuno di coloro che leggono i miei post questo numero ricorda qualcosa?
Non vi sbagliate! Si tratta dello stesso obiettivo che ho per SPS su Splinterlands.
Ancora un'altra similarità tra questi due progetti: d'altra parte se di là le cose mi stanno andando abbastanza bene, perchè non provare a costruire qualcosa di simile anche qua? :)
