DCAing into SPS: My Approach to Steady Accumulation
With the purchase of Mad Ogre Anarchist, the reinvestment phase of my budget into Splinterlands cards has come to an end.
Now it's time to move on to the next phase: growing my SPS holdings!
And my strategy for this is really simple.
At regular intervals, I plan to use part of my DEC to buy SPS.
Right now, the DEC-SPS exchange rate is very favorable, as SPS is near its all-time lows.
The time gap I want to leave between each purchase is two weeks since that’s roughly the amount of time I need to accumulate 1,000 DEC through my card and SPS rentals.
1,000 DEC seems like a good amount to invest each time, and if the DEC-SPS rate remains stable, it would allow me to purchase over 100 SPS every two weeks.
Today, I’ve already completed my first purchase, and I could set the next one around mid-February. A simple way to remind myself to make these purchases regularly could be to align them with the Hive Power Up Day and Leo Power Up Day, which take place on the 1st and 15th of each month, respectively.
Towards 10,000 SPS!
After each purchase, I plan to immediately stake the newly acquired SPS by transferring it to my in-game account.
Even though I don’t play, staking SPS allows me to take advantage of two benefits:
- earning staking rewards with a 10% APR
- renting out my SPS to other players with an average APR of 5%
These additional sources of income will help me accumulate:
- SPS, which I can immediately stake
- VOUCHERs, which I can convert into DEC
- DEC, which I can periodically convert into SPS
At this pace, I should be able to accumulate around 250 SPS per month and reach my first SPS goal—owning 10,000 SPS—in less than four months!
And the more my SPS holdings grow, the easier it will be to reach even more ambitious goals.
I'm also curious to see how the market will react when the Chaos Legion set rotates out of the Modern Format. If Rebellion set cards become more in demand—as I hope—I could earn even more DEC from renting out my cards, which would be a great boost.
In the meantime, I’m happy to have reached a new phase in my Splinterlands journey, and I hope to keep building something even bigger over time!

Strategia di DCA per SPS: il Mio Approccio per un Accumulo Costante
Con l'acquisto di Mad Ogre Anarchist si è conclusa la fase di reinvestimento del mio budget nell'acquisto di carte di Splinterlands.
Ora è tempo di passare alla fase successiva: accrescere gli SPS in mio possesso!
E la mia strategia a riguardo è davvero semplice.
Ad intervalli regolari di tempo intendo usare parte del mio DEC per acquistare SPS.
In questo momento il rapporto di cambio DEC-SPS è infatti molto buono, dato che SPS è vicino ai suoi minimi storici.
Il lasso di tempo vorrei far passare tra un acquisto e l'altro è di due settimane, dato che questo è il periodo di tempo che, più o meno, dovrebbe servirmi per accumulare 1000 DEC grazie al noleggio delle mie carte ed SPS.
1000 DEC mi sembra un buon quantitativo di investire ogni volta e, se il rapporto tra DEC e SPS dovesse mantenersi costante, mi consentirebbe ogni 2 settimane di acquistare più di 100 SPS.
Oggi ho già completato il primo acquisto e indicativamente potrei fissare la prossima data verso metà febbraio: un modo semplice per ricordarmi di fare questi acquisti con regolarità potrebbe essere quello di farli coincidere con l'Hive Power Up Day e con il Leo Power Up Day, che si festeggiano, rispettivamente, il primo ed il quindici di ogni mese.
Verso i 10.000 SPS!
Dopo ogni acquisto intendo poi procedere a mettere subito gli SPS appena comprati in stake, spostandoli nel mio account ingame.
Anche se non gioco, infatti, mettere gli SPS in stake mi consente di sfruttare due vantaggi:
- ottenere ricompense da staking con un APR del 10%
- noleggiare i miei SPS agli altri giocatori con un APR medio del 5%
Queste ulteriori due fonti di guadagno mi aiuteranno ad accumulare:
- SPS, da poter direttamente mettere in staking
- VOUCHER, da convertire in DEC
- DEC, da convertire periodicamente in SPS
A questo ritmo dovrei essere in grado di accumulare circa 250 SPS al mese e dovrei raggiungere il mio primo obiettivo per gli SPS - averne 10.000 - in meno di 4 mesi!
E più aumenteranno i miei SPS, più sarà facile raggiungere obiettivi ancora più ambiziosi.
In parte sono anche curioso di vedere come reagirà il mercato alla rotazione fuori dal Modern Format del set Chaos Legion: se le carte del set Rebellion dovessero diventare più richieste - come spero - potrei riuscire ad ottenere ancora più DEC dal noleggio delle mie carte, e questo mi aiuterebbe non poco.
Intanto sono contento di essere arrivato ad una nuova fase della mia crescita su Splinterlands e spero nel tempo di riuscire a costruire qualcosa di sempre più importante!

Ottime considerazioni ed avere una strategia chiara come la tua aiuta tantissimo nel gaming su blockchain. Anch’io ho constatato che oggi il cambio SPS/DEC è vicino ai minimi storici. Effettivamente se uno avesse molti DEC, scambiare dei DEC con degli SPS potrebbe essere un’operazione da considerare.
Sì, avere un piano è sempre fondamentale, sono d'accordo! Evita di farsi guidare troppo dalle emozioni e nel tempo porta molti più risultati che affidarsi all'intuizione - a meno che uno ovviamente non abbia un talento, ma io non ce l'ho e quindi meglio se non faccio cose a caso ahahah.
Aahh ma nessuno ha talento.. pianificare le cose (avere una strategia) almeno aiuta a ragionare anche quando le cose vanno male, ma almeno si sa perchè vanno male. Fare le cose fatte e caso saranno sempre fatte a caso e sarà impossibile fare correzioni per migliorare. Ottimo lavoro arc7.
