How's My Net Worth Changed in a Month?
We are once again about a month away from my last report, so it's time to ask myself the question you see in the title: was the past month a good one for the value of my assets?
To find out, I will once again compare the current value of the two main assets I own in Splinterlands—namely cards and tokens—with their value a month ago.
In January, I added a new card to my collection, which should have definitely increased my card collection's value—or at least I hope so 😅—while reducing the amount of DEC I own.
I also kicked off my plan for periodic SPS purchases, which will finally allow me to see a more decent increase in my SPS holdings. To buy SPS tokens, I used some of the DEC I still have, meaning that this new strategy will introduce a greater element of volatility to the value of my token holdings. DEC, as we know, theoretically has a fairly stable value, whereas SPS could—once again, let's hope!—see a significant price increase if the right conditions arise.
That said, let's analyze the value of my assets, divided into the categories cards and tokens.
Cards
Using Peakmonsters, the value of my cards is currently about $163.
Last month, the value of these same cards was around $123.
This means that my card collection has increased in value by $40! Last month, we saw the opposite result, so I’m happy to see this trend reversing.
As I mentioned earlier, though, it's important to consider that in January I purchased a new card, spending about $25. The actual increase in my collection's value is therefore smaller, though still absolutely positive.
Tokens
On the token side, things are worse, largely due to the negative market trend in recent days.
Currently, the value of my tokens stands at $63.66.
Last month, their value was $106.22.
For $25 of this difference the explanation lies in my purchase of Mad Ogre Anarchist—which, as I mentioned, I paid for using DEC—but for the remaining $15, the unfortunate answer is a decrease in the value of both the DEC and SPS tokens.
A Stable Month
That’s how I’d define it: what I gained on one side, I lost on the other. But at least, in the end, the total value of what I own hasn’t decreased further, which is a positive outcome.
The current value of my Splinterlands holdings remains at about $230, in line with last month’s value.
If the market starts to rise again, next month I might finally see these values increase.
To some extent, I can always count on the DEC I earn daily from renting out my assets, which will help me gradually increase my SPS exposure over time.
After all, my focus is on holding volatile assets in anticipation of the following monthes of 2025—a period that many expect to bring a new bull run, including for altcoins.
After several years in the red, it would be nice to finally see a good amount of green.

Come è Cambiato il Valore del Mio Patrimonio in un Mese?
Siamo di nuovo a circa un mese di distanza dal mio ultimo report e torno perciò nuovamente a pormi la domanda che potete leggere nel titolo: sarà stato il mese passato un buon mese per il valore dei miei assets?
Per scoprirlo andrò ancora una volta a confrontare il valore attuale dei due principali assets che possiedo su Splinterlands - ossia carte e tokens - con il valore che avevano un mese fa.
Nel mese di gennaio ho aggiunto una nuova carta alla mia collezione: ciò avrà sicuramente aumentato il valore della mia collezione di carte - o almeno spero 😅 - e ridotto la quantità di DEC che possiedo.
Ho anche dato il via al mio piano di acquisto periodico di SPS, che mi consentirà finalmente di veder aumentare questi ultimi ad un ritmo più decente: per acquistare token SPS ho utilizzato parte del DEC che ho ancora a disposizione, per cui da questo punto di vista questa nuova strategia introdurrà un maggior elemento di volatilità nel valore dei tokens che possiedo, dato che DEC, come sappiamo, ha teoricamente un valore abbastanza stabile, mentre SPS potrebbe - anche qui si spera! - vedere il suo valore aumentare in maniera importante, se si verificassero le giuste condizioni.
Detto ciò, possiamo passare ad analizzare il valore dei miei assets, suddivisi come nelle categorie carte e tokens.
Carte
Utilizzando Peakmonsters il valore delle mie carte risulta attualmente pari a circa 163 dollari.
Il mese scorso il valore di queste stesse carte era invece pari a circa 123 dollari.
Ciò significa che la mia collezione di carte ha visto incrementare il proprio valore di 40 dollari! Il mese scorso avevamo assistito ad un risultato di segno contrario, e quindi sono felice di vedere questa tendenza invertita.
Come scrivevo poco sopra, però, bisogna considerare che a Gennaio ho acquistato una nuova carta, spendendo circa 25 dollari: l'aumento reale del valore della mia collezione è quindi più modesto, anche se sempre assolutamente positivo.
Tokens
Lato tokens invece le cose vanno peggio, complice sicuramente anche l'andamento negativo del mercato in questi ultimi giorni.
Attualmente il valore dei miei tokens ammonta infatti a 63.66 dollari.
Il mese scorso il loro valore era invece pari a 106.22 dollari.
Per 25 dollari questa differenza è imputabile all'acquisto di Mad Ogre Anarchist - che come ho detto ho effettuato utilizzando DEC - ma per i restanti 15 dollari la risposta va purtroppo cercata in una diminuzione nel valore sia del token DEC che SPS.
Un mese stabile
Lo si potrebbe definire così: ciò che ho guadagnato da una parte l'ho perso dall'altra, ma almeno alla fine dei conti il valore complessivo di ciò che possiedo non è sceso ulteriormente, e ciò è positivo.
Il valore attuale del mio patrimonio su Splinterlands rimane quindi pari a circa 230 dollari, in linea con quello che era il suo valore il mese scorso.
Se il mercato tornasse a crescere il prossimo mese potrei finalmente vedere questi valori tornare a salire un po'.
In parte posso anche sempre contare sul DEC che quotidianamente guadagno dal noleggio dei miei assets, che nel tempo mi aiuterà a rendere sempre maggiore la mia esposizione al token SPS.
Possedere assets volatili è infatti il mio focus in vista di un anno, il 2025, che moltissimi identificano come l'anno di una nuova bullrun che coinvolga anche le altcoins.
Dopo svariati anni di rosso, sarebbe bello vedere finalmente un bel po' di verde.
