I live in a coastal city in southern Italy, where the climate is mostly mild and in winter the temperature rarely drops below 0 degrees, so it is rare to see snow falling in my area. The last snowfall dates back to the pandemic, although it lasted only a few hours and was not very intense, which is why it soon melted.
After 4 years, right now, the cold has hit my region again and the snow has reappeared but in the inland hilly areas. The coast, on the other hand, was characterized only by heavy rain and strong gusts of wind, with some inconvenience here and there such as fallen trees, building scaffolding in danger of collapsing and many Christmas events cancelled or postponed by a few days.
My children, the eldest is almost 5 years old, have never seen snow and so, taking advantage of the white landscape about 20 km away, we set off in the morning to enjoy a bit of this pure beauty. The road is quite icy so it is necessary to proceed with caution but it was not necessary to fit snow chains.
Once we reached the rural area, where the snow had settled more abundantly, we stopped for a walk and it is impossible not to be fascinated by this enchanted landscape. As previously mentioned, the last snowfall dates back to a few years ago, so children are not the only ones fascinated by this wonderful spectacle.
By the way, this snowfall comes on Christmas day and it is a beautiful gift for all of us who often see videos of mountain villages where the snow is falling heavily, large flakes that are beautiful to see and touch. We played a bit with the snow, threw a few balls here and there, left footprints in the snow and also observed those large clouds full of new snow in the next few hours. Christmas is a really beautiful time for me, and the snow has contributed to making this Christmas truly magical!
Let It snow, let It snow, let It snow!

Let It snow, let It snow, let It snow!
Greetings @claudio83 ,
What a lovely post and stunning photographs...indeed Snow transforms the landscape as you have so beautifully demonstrated here. Children are awed by it....so happy to hear their Papa was able to take them to the Snow.
I really appreciate how all things of creation point to God.
Belated 'Happy Christ-mas,'

Thanks mate, merry Christmas 🥰
I live in northern China, and the weather is always very cold at this time of year, with heavy snow from time to time.
But it seems that this winter is unusually warm. The temperature outside is now minus four degrees Celsius, and it hasn't snowed for a long time.
the climate is changing a bit everywhere. My parents tell me that when they were younger here the snow came at least once a year. Now unfortunately it is very rare
Thanks for your support

I live in the east of Turkey. Previously, snow would start to fall in November and the winter season would end in March. In recent years, it has started in January and ended in April. Seasonal change has occurred due to global warming.
Unfortunately the climate is changing very quickly and snow is becoming increasingly rare in flat areas or near the sea
The snow does not look like it'll last very long, but it's quite good to see it out there. I think for the children it's an amazing sight, since it's the first time they're getting to see it.
My sons love snow 😍 thanks
At my 30 years old, I never seen snow in real life because I live in Indonesia.
Well, glad your child finaly see it 😊
Happy holiday!
Thanks, snow Is something likes magic 😁

seeing these images is wonderful. If they are photos of a country in Southern Italy it must be unusual to see this landscape. In Southern Italy winter temperatures should be around 8/10 degrees centigrade
