Another Splinterlands weekly challenge for Community Engagement Challenge with a theme of reviewing the recently added promo cards and as I have brought the mighty Sanctus Vicar, here I am going to review that with a battle link also included with usage of the mentioned card.
Let's First know a bit about Sanctus Vicar and then I will provide the details of the lineup and then the battle details.
Sanctus Vicar is One of the Two promo cards released by Splinterlands team and this is a monster with dual splinter support with water and fire splinters able to use this and this is a special one because this is the First card with an ability to cleanse rearguard to cleanse backend monsters starting with the last monster on the lineup.
Stats:
This rare monster which is a promo card and is a ranged attack monster.
The card has 3 different abilities with cleanse rearguard being available from First level itself and will be able to cleanse the last monster in the lineup First and then the next last and so on.
The Second ability cleanse will start from level 4 and will cleanse the front monster and the last ability it gets is the reflection shield which will be available in last level i.e. level 8.
This monster has ranged attack and starts with 2 attack from level 1 and at level 7, it gets upgraded to 3 and that is the max unless there is a buff or debuff on that.
The speed remains same at 3 throughout the 8 levels and it has 1 or 2 armors with health starting at 4 and can be a max of 6.

The battle I am sharing with the link shared above, was a 56 MANA cap battle and that made me to use some high MANA cost monsters as I am sharing below.
The battle had rule sets of Tis but scratches(cripple ability for all monsters) and Weak magic(all monsters including magic attack monsters will have to remove the armors First to reduce the main health) and the cripple ability made me to use the new promo card Sanctus Vicar to cleanse Front as well as other monsters starting from last monster with cleanse rearguard ability it has.
The lineup was as below with me using dragon with Water splinter.
Lineup:
1. Diemonshark:
As I had made up my mind to use Agor Longtail at the backend, I felt this is the best monster for the front position with it's trample andretaliate abilities and I anyway had Sanctus Vicar to cleanse it to remove crippling.
2. Chaos Dragon:
The 56 MANA cap means, I could afford to use this huge MANA cost monster and this played a vital role in removing some of the monsters with it's blast ability.
The 4 magic attack it had was good enough to reduce health of monsters it attacked and other monsters could finish off the monsters this attacked First.
3. Magi of Chaos:
As all the attack was scheduled to flow towards Agor Longtail I used this one more monster with 4 magic attack in tandem with Chaos Dragon and this also accounted for couple of monsters removal.
4. Merdaali Guardian:
This tank healer and armor builder was used to keep the front monster alive and it did it's job well to keep Diemonshark active till the end.
5. Sanctus Vicar:
Sanctus Vicar was the theme monster used to showcase it's abilities of cleansing not just front monster, but also the backend monsters and that allowed to keep the Agor Longtail till the end.
6. Agor Longtail:
Lastly, I used this to help Sanctus Vicar to use it's abilities of cleanse and cleanse rearguard and help me win the battle.
