Hello Friends,

First, i would like to wish you all happy new year as this is my first blog in new year and my first blog as well on splinterlands and i am sharing details of cards, merits and other things i got from 13 major loot chests opening and as i got some good chunk of merits, i could buy 5 gladius packs as well and sharing the details of the cards i got for this week's social media challenge.

There was energy, few of those had cards, there were many which contained merits and ofcourse, one of those had those potions we get, but, for a change, most of those were either cards or merits.

I got as many as 18 cards from 5 loot chests with details as below.

Couple of those cards from a chest were epic thanalorian blade which is a opportunity ability melee attack monster from earth splinter. Thanalorian blade has nice speed, has armor and health is also good starting with 5 and costs 6 mana, but more importantly, it has 2 melee attack at level 1.

Three cards i got were rare dark arborist from a chest and as we know, dark arborist is a death splinter magic attack monster which comes with demoralize ability which reduces the melee attack from opponent's monsters and once we upgrade this monster to level 3 or 4, it will have magic reflect as well.

Couple of those chests had 4 and 5 cards of giant alpine skink which is a melee attack monster with armors and shield ability and is from water splinter and this monster is being looked as a replacement monster for diemonshark because of it's attack and armors and all almost similar to diemonshark except that, it lacks the trample ability.

The other chest which had cards was one with 4 broken earth thug monster from death splinter again and this monster is a melee attack monster of opportunity type and costs 3 mana.

One of those chests contained 3 energy and energy is a nice thing to earn from these chests as energy costs more than those common cards and increases as we move up in leagues.

Six of those loot chests had merits in the range of 3K merits and i just used that along with the merits earned for completing brawl battles and could buy 5 gladius packs which had cards as below.

It's 25 cards i got from those 5 packs and all those cards were unique ones as 25 different cards i got from opening those 5 packs.

Some notable ones are, an epic gorth which is a melee attack monster from fire splinter and i don't remember if i used that before.

there were couple of rare cards in alfredo and fallidon rakk and remaining all were common cards from different splinter as i share above.

That is about 15 of those 25 cards.

The other 10 cards are as shown in the other screenshot shared above and it had just 2 rare cards like liza fox from death splinter and this is one of the good ones as it is with 4 ranged attack and being a gladius monster, it is with bloodlust ability.

The other rare card is the death splinter melee attack monster of kotriphus bayne and this is with 12 health although i think i haven't used it yet.

No legendary cards either from loot chests and or gladius packs and but each of those cards i get will help in leveling up the cards to win more battles and this work of earning glint and spending it to buy loot chests continues :)
