Long time no blogging from me as i got bit busy with academics, but here i am with this blog in which i am going to highlight a monster which is with double strike and moreover, it has 2 types of strikes as well.
Let's go and see about this monster i am planning to explain and i am also showcasing a battle involving this monster.
Drynone raider:
Yes, the monster i would like to explain is the neutral monster of drybone raider which is a double attack monster means it attacks 2 times in each round.
And since it is also with dual attack types melee and ranged, it is a dal attack monster.
Dual attack with double strike, oh, that means, in the battles where there is a ruleset which allows monsters with ranged attack to fight from front i.e. closed range battles, this monster can attack 4 times. Two times with melee attack and two times with range attack and considering the level 3 monster i have, it can have 2 melee attack and 2 ranged attack which means a total of 8 attack it gives in each round with closed range battles.
Not just that, this monster has shatter ability which allows it to remove all the armors a monster might have and this will be particularly useful when we have a weak magic ruleset in which armors needs to be removed first to reduce the main health of a monster.
It also has cripple ability and this ability allows it to reduce the health by 1 every time it attacks a monster's main health.

So, i used this monster of drybone raider in a battle using water splinter and the battle had 60 mana cost and there were 3 rulesets as shared in above screenshot.
Even stevens was the first ruleset which allows monsters with even health only in the battle.
The second ruleset was up to eleven, which is the amplify ability to all monsters and this ability makes monsters to return attack with increased attack, means if a retaliate unit is there, it will attack back with 3 attack if it's normal retaliate attack is 2 i.e. a +1 increased attack.
The last ruleset for this battle was unprotected, which makes all the monsters lose their armor even before the battle begins.
The monsters i used for this battle were as below.
Lineup:
1. Diemonshark:
No matter the unprotected ruleset is there, but this monster is still strong to be used in a battle and i keep on using this monster in the front position whenever i use water splinter.
This monster is with 4 normal melee attack and when it is enraged, it will have 6 attack and it also has retaliate ability to attack back on melee attack monsters.
2. Djinn oshannus:
Djinn oshannus is the magic attack monster with 11 health and it has the phase and void abilities to take less attack from magic monsters and phase attack makes it to more durable against melee and ranged attacks as there are more chances of it to make the monsters to miss their attack.
Oh, it has 2 magic attack for the level 2 monster i have.
3. Deeplurker:
This monster i can say, one of the most used monsters as whenever someone uses water splinter, you are almost certain to see this monster in the battle.
It is with 5 melee attack, can poison the monster it attacks and is with good speed as well.
4. Riverboat captain:
Riverboat captain is the rewards card monster from chaos legion edition and is with 3 blast attack magic attack which means, it attacks the first monster with 3 attack and the next monster with 2 and it is also with affliction ability and has a chance to stop the healing from a monster with healing ability.
5. Drybone raider:
The monster i am trying to explain in this blog and as i wrote above, this monster is a dual attack (melee and ranged attack) and attacks 2 times in each round.
The abilities of cripple and shatter makes it even more useful against monsters with armors.
6. Wave brood:
I used this taunt ability monster in last position so as to make it attract all the attack towards it and allow the other monsters to attack front monster on the other side.
This monster is also with 2 ranged attack and it can even attack from front position as it is with close range ability and it gets lesser attack from magic monster since it is with void ability.
Battle:
Even though this battle is with 60 mana cost, the battle just lasted 3 rounds as most of the monsters used on either side are with 4 or more attacks and the retaliate from diemonshark removed 2 monsters, the first 2 monsters used by opponent.
