Increasing my monsters' chances of evading attacks is one of my main strategies in Splinterlands and when it comes to the land deck, Regal Peryton is one of my favorite choices.
There are 2 abilities that are very useful for this strategy and they are: Flying and Dodge.

Flying - With this ability, the monster will have a +25% chance of dodging melee and ranged attacks from monsters that don't have the Flying ability. There aren't many monsters in Splinterlands that have the Flying ability, so the chances of you facing one in battle are a little low, so this ability is very useful in battles.

Dodge - With this ability, the monster will have a +25% chance of dodging melee and ranged attacks from the opponent's monsters. This ability doesn't have exceptions like the Flying ability, so in my opinion it's superior, but Flying is still a great choice and is even better if you have both abilities.

Link to the Battle
This is a battle that I will use as an example, in it I chose 3 monsters that have the Flying ability and my opponent chose only 1. As I mentioned before, the chances of your opponent using monsters with the Flying ability are a little low, but it is still common to have at least 1 in the battle and I say this from personal experience, but even if you have 1 in the battle, it will not be a problem for you because there will still be 5 other monsters that will be affected by the Flying ability.
The monsters that I selected with the Flying ability are Pelacor Mercenary, Regal Peryton and Gargoya Devil. Each of these monsters did their job of dodging attacks well, but the best of all was Regal Peryton because, in addition to having the Flying ability, she also has a great deal of speed, and speed also increases the chances of your monsters dodging attacks.
Even though my opponent used some monsters with a lower level than mine, this was a difficult battle, and if it weren't for my strategy of using monsters with the Flying ability to increase their chances of dodging attacks, I would have lost this battle miserably. This shows that, although the level of the cards is important in Splinterlands, a good strategy is what really makes the difference.

In the end, only Regal Peryton was left to save the day, and I want to kiss this beautiful card because it was the real star of this battle and only took 1 attack during the entire battle.

It was not an easy battle and if I had used another of my strategies I would probably have lost this battle.
