I was talking to a friend of mine today and asked him a simple question why did he start drinking alcohol in the first place, he said he was influenced by friends without him even knowing it because he wasn’t always a fan of alcohol and he can’t even give a specific reason but he was able to point out that his friends were major reasons why he started drinking alcohol. What I was able to deduct from this conversation was he didn’t choose this on himself he chose based on what was in his surroundings. He was not able to consider whether it was the right move or not he did it because he wanted to be social and wanted to be with a group of people, this happens to us all the time we make choices unconsciously, and we also make choices just to feel among.

We have things that we are doing in our life that we don’t know how it started. Some of us don't have an idea of how we get into such things because our family doesn’t do it, Some of our friends might not even know about it, but we are doing such habits based on the reoccurrence of the things we are seeing online or we are hearing somewhere, our mind is built in such a way that gradually we make decisions without knowing, but it’s reflected in our actions and no matter how small Choice is, it can go a long way in affecting our life, especially our attitude.

Our choice is like the atom of our existence and everything we will become in life. Will start from a little tiny Choice that you make unconsciously or consciously.

My elder brother loves alcohol but I don’t like the way it makes my mother sad to take alcohol. I make an unconscious decision never to take it. That was the only reason I could point out that stopped me from taking alcohol. It was always because I didn’t want to make my mom sad, my mom hated the idea of taking alcohol or drugs. We have so many decisions we make just by looking at our environment. We make choices every day and when your choices compound, it makes you who you are.

When people warn you against late-night food or taking alcohol, for instance, they are not telling you to stop it for what it may do to you now, they are telling you to stop because they know when these habits compound they can be bad. When you choose to drink alcohol every day the consequences will come and then you might blame fate that your life turning out to be shit but it has always been your choice and nothing more. Sometimes people just choose to live with their circumstances like that and accept their fate and that is also a bad choice. We have the power to change whatever we want.

We can never control our circumstances, but we can control how we respond to them, and how will respond today will make a very big change in our outcome later in life.

Not making a choice is also a choice, not doing anything is a choice, and not doing enough is a choice. There will always be a result for every choice we make in life. We can choose to respond very well to anything Life throws at us, We can also stop doing anything without making any choice, but the truth is not making any choice can be the worst thing that could happen to a human being. We can choose to sit down and cry about our circumstances and we can also get up and do something about our situation.

Whether it is a conscious or unconscious choice, there will always be a result for it. The best thing we can do when we get any outcome in life is to respond better. We should learn from our previous choices, whether it is good or bad, and make better decisions as we grow. I know we don't have power over everything that happens to us in life, but we have power over our choices and how we respond.

Thanks for your time.

I totally agree with you. Most of the choices we make are as a result of the things that surrounds us, the words we hear, the things we see and so much more. And making choices is a choice and also not making a choice is also a choice but sometimes people always say they don’t have a choice but that is not true.

Thanks for sharing.

I believe that if we are balanced, regardless of the choices we make, we'll be living a normal life. I simply don't like extremes and consider them not healthy.
