Early years.

I had a friend growing up who devoted his time to playing musical instruments for a church. This guy used to go to practice every day and when he got better, he started playing musical instruments for his church. He did that for so many years and got better even though he was doing it for free, but one thing I learned from him was that he got better in the process and now is one of the best instrumentalists that I know. One of his advantages was that he started young and he played for free for so many years and now he’s making a living from just playing an instrument.

The first advantage that he has is that he started young most people don’t start young most people use their younger age to chase what will not add any benefits to their lives. People use their young age to follow friends to party and to do things that are of no value. The truth about starting young is that when your friends are having fun you are somewhere learning, building, and growing by the time your friends realize how much they have wasted their time and want to come back to learn you will have been in the market successful already.

Early bird

We are in a new era where people in their early 20s are looking for generational wealth everybody wants to blow and make a lot of money overnight. Nobody is ready to learn and it’s getting difficult for people to use their 20s to learn just like my friend who used his 20s to learn how to play an instrument and even work for free. Everybody is after how to make quick money most people are after how to put money in their pocket even when you offer them an opportunity to learn they are not ready to follow it. They want to become rich overnight, the goal for everybody is to be financially free, but you can’t do that without adding value to yourself.

There is always time for everything. It is always good to use our 20s to learn so that by the time we enter the next phase of our life we will use it to earn. Everything has changed, everybody wants to start earning as early as possible without learning anything that could give them value. There is nothing bad in trying to earn because you have to survive, but ignoring the possibility of learning and growing as a person for just earning without having any value may later backfire at the end of the day.

Be ready to learn

It is always good to be ready to learn even when it doesn’t attract a huge amount of money as long it provides an opportunity for you to learn. It is good to go for it because you are going to use everything you learn to earn better in the future. Everything is not always about money and I’m not saying money is not important but the best investment is investing in yourself, making yourself valuable will allow you to earn better.

Thanks for your time.
