According to this picture, I powered up more than 36K hive power last year, which shows our dedicated I was to building my hive power and if you have been following my account, You will see that there was a time I powered down some of my hive power. This was because I was trying to diversify into other projects in the community. I just don’t want the situation where I will only buy Hive without looking into some other opportunities in the ecosystem and that was why I powered down more than 15K Hive last year to invest in various projects and I can see that some of these projects were right decision and some of this project still have a question mark On it.  the main reason for this is because they are not meeting my expectations. 
Some project I invested in was a mess because they weren’t even worth anything again in the market and that’s how investment is, you get some right and you lose some but some of my investment in the ecosystem is still running and I’m just hoping that in the bull market, they can do better. If you’ve been following my account, you see that I invest in Splitterlands and currently most of my assets are down, but the project is still holding up we are just hoping for a bull MARKET to give us real value for our investment but a project did amazingly well last year and the project is Bro taken.
Bro did well last year
According to this picture, you can see that I made nothing less than $900 from just an upvote from bro, which is extremely good because all my investment on Bro is around $2000 which equates to 1000 bro tokens, and making $900 from just upvote in a single year means that I realize over 45% of my Investment in a year and if bro could do the same this year, it means I would have realized close to a hundred percent of the money I invested in Bro in just two years, not many investments can give you that kind of return. Apart from that, I also received weekly Hive from Bro and if you add everything together I made over 50% of my investment In a year.
This amazing Project gave me back most of the money I invested in it last year. We have some other projects like that on Hive-engine that are worth looking into and this year I will try as much as possible to invest in some of these projects I will do my research very well this time around because I believe one of the reasons why I did not get everything right was because I did not do my research well but this year that will be different. Any project that I will be investing in, I must understand it fully and I’m so happy that I invested in Bro. I wish to have the same success rate with some of the projects I’ll be investing in this year.
Do your research
We are not in the bull market yet and I made over $900 from upvotes last year, Just imagine when the Hive price triples, imagine how much I’ll be making per post. This is evidence of investing in a good project but just like every other investment you must be very careful and make sure you know what you’re doing by doing your research. If you should get your call right, Investment is very good but if you don’t, it means you will lose a lot of money. This is not financial advice, do your own research.

Really interesting insight on investing in Hive ecosystem projects. I've been a bit lazy in looking into this aspect of Hive but this post has inspired me to make the research. Thanks for sharing :)
