Yesterday I talked about how I moved on from complaining about my life and how people did not help me and taking my finances seriously. I faced so many challenges in the process and one of the challenges is procrastination. I was finding it difficult to deal with thinking I still had time, even though this helped me in some financial aspect, but it nearly ruined my life. I know that people might be wondering how procrastination helped me financially but it’s simple it stopped me from making an irrational decision. Everything that has disadvantages sometimes has some kind of advantage too.
Anytime I see something I love online the urge to buy comes because I was struggling a lot with procrastination, i will tell myself to buy it later and before I know it the feeling of buying some of these things will fade off because most of the things I saw online are the things that I did not need and when I give it time it helps me financially, but it affects other parts of my life like making decisions. With procrastination, I lost so many opportunities because I did not decide on time one of the lessons that procrastination taught me was when it comes to building your life is that the best time to start is now.
Just do it
When an idea comes to my head, I have the problem of execution, and procrastination is a major problem because instead of executing the ideas, I’m always in my head and even when I have a blueprint of how I want to do my thing I will keep postponing and saying I will do it tomorrow. when I have the gut to even start another problem I have is questioning myself that I should’ve started a few months ago or a few years ago, giving myself an excuse not to do what I’ve planned. This kept happening for years till I was able to defeat procrastination with the habit of just doing it.
If I have an idea now I will do it even when I don’t have the perfect picture. I will implement the idea and keep going and improve in the process. I realize that what I was struggling with was procrastination and even when I have the perfect idea the next thing that comes to my mind is I should have started long ago. To kill this procrastination I just do things, this applies to all aspects of life, and the best time to invest is now. The best time to change your life is now. We should all forget about the time we’ve missed.
Forget it
Most people find it difficult to forget the time they have missed thinking they should’ve started 20 years ago. People lack the execution mentality and the problem most people have from executing idea or plan is fear and procrastination. People believe that they have a lot of time on their side and this mentality is caused by procrastination believing that you have a lot of time on your side and that you are going to do it later but we end up doing nothing when we have such a mentality.
Procrastination can only be defeated by an execution mentality doing something right away without postponing it to tomorrow or later. This is the only way you can defeat procrastination. Sometimes we stay in our head so much that we find it difficult to execute what is in front of us. We must remember that there is nothing good that comes with procrastination, It only kills dreams and purpose in life. We must always remember that the best time to work on yourself is now, you don’t have tomorrow and when you decide that you want to take charge of your life don’t postpone it and start now. Begin to take baby steps towards your big goals and you will see drastic change as you go.
Thanks for your time.

There's definitely a good aspect to many things that seem bad at first glance. I thinking holding onto the past is a burden when it comes to executing in the present. Sometimes, it's better to take action and then reflect on our actions later instead of trying to reflect without taking any meaningful action :)
