It took me a long time before I realized how our body works when we work out, my thought was the protein that we eat is stored in our muscles and that’s how we get bigger but I was wrong not until I saw a video online about how it truly works. I was shocked because I did not believe that our body is so intelligent and complex. Each time we work out at the gym our body goes through stress, and there is a tiny tear in our muscle. These tears are repaired by protein, our body reinforces that muscle and makes it stronger to overcome come same stress next time. Most people don’t even know that our body goes through stress each time we work out at the gym.
This kind of stress is called good stress because it helps make our body stronger and according to scientists, this is the kind of stress we should engage in. This brings me to the topic of today; is stress bad for us? We can argue that there is good stress and there is bad stress. Stress is not as bad as it’s my sounds. When people hear stress, they don’t want to have anything to do with it and the question now is can we achieve something in life without going through stress? No matter how simple what you are trying to achieve, it is certain that you will go through some level of stress for you to make it possible.
Why do people hate stress?
If you have not been working for a long time and you have been in your comfort zone when you start a project or a business or you started working for someone, the first few weeks your body will react to it and you might even get a fever in the process and this is because your body is trying to adjust to the new reality but after few weeks you will get used to it. After knowing within yourself that you are going through stress, you will continue doing it because you have a goal that you already set. Whenever you are trying to achieve something, there is always stress involved. In this world, nothing is designed to be easy. There is always a process, and most processes are stressful but as long as you are doing it to achieve a goal like going to the gym to be healthy, I believe it is a good stress.
Nothing is designed to come easy. When you are going through stress to achieve a goal it is good stress because there is a reward for it. When you are doing something that is stressful and you are not getting the value of what you are doing or you are doing something without having a goal and it still requires a high amount of stress this is bad stress because you are not getting anything in return or what you are getting is less valuable or doesn’t have a value at all. This is a waste of time, energy, and resources. Over the years people have made it seem as if stress is what you should avoid.

It is high that time we change our mentality towards stress because the world has made us believe that we should avoid it. When people see an opportunity to make themselves better because stress is involved they will avoid it and stay the same without adding any value to their life. I believe stress is something we embrace when we are still young and our body is still strong. This is when good stress is needed, stress that is beneficial to our lives.
I believe stress is like a sword, which has two sides good and bad. It is important. We know how to manage it and it is also important to know that when we are getting old, we should try to avoid stress. We can plan towards our retirement so that we will not engage in stress for the rest of our lives. When we are still young and our body is capable, that is the time we should use good stress to build for our future. Stress is not bad when we are getting value in return, we should know our limit, nothing is free or easy we have to work for it and we will experience stress, but we should always know our limit and manage it.
