We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will.
Humans were created with a purpose, every one of these purposes was supposed to leave a legacy that the world will remember, and to impact every soul. Death is inevitable, but what matters more is the legacy we leave behind for others to follow. Living forever isn't the goal, one will grow tired at a certain point seeing the vanity around him daily, but the goal is to create something that will live forever in the heart of men.
There are great men in the past whose name still lives, and there are others who were never known and not remembered. The difference is the legacy they left behind. They may never have done their deeds with the intention of being remembered, but the virtue of what they did left a mark that the world still remembers. African leaders like Nelson Mandela who fought against apartheid, scientists who made inventions, Abraham Lincoln who introduced democracy, and so many other leaders and individuals who did marvelous deeds that lie in the hearts of men till date. Death was certain for them, but their goal wasn't to live forever, it was to create or do something that will.
The matter of legacy is less discussed, but while some people dream of making wealth and living forever enjoying the luxuries that life offers, there are also a few groups of people whose goal is to create something that lives even when they're no more. It's great to make wealth, it's good to enjoy pleasure and luxuries, it's good to dine and feast, but it's more honourable to leave behind a legacy, a footprint that others sees and know that you live on, one that speaks to generations and be a story that society, or nation remember.
