I think the introduction of new tariffs by the United States will have a significant impact on the European economy, affecting various sectors and trade dynamics.

I recently read this analysis by Boston Consulting Group (BCG), which states "the EU could face additional costs estimated at 102 billion dollars due to US tariffs. The sectors most affected will include automotive, electrical machinery and fashion".
In particular, I think the European automotive industry, with a strong presence in Germany, could be significantly impacted. Some economists estimate that a 10% tariff could reduce German GDP by 1.6%, given the country's dependence on exports of cars and machinery to the United States.
Trade tensions could also lead to a reorganization of global supply chains. European companies could look to diversify markets, targeting high-potential regions such as India and Africa, in particular I hope for the latter.
In response to US tariffs, the European Union has stated that it is ready to "respond firmly" to any trading partner that imposes duties unfairly or arbitrarily on European products. Brussels stresses that the duties are harmful for all parties involved, increasing business costs and harming workers and consumers.
In summary, the duties imposed by the United States could slow down the EU's economic growth, negatively affecting key sectors and pushing companies to review their trade and sourcing strategies, however this is also an opportunity, because currently many companies in the stox600 are significantly underpriced compared to their American competitors and therefore potentially undervalued.

Ho letto recentemente questa analisi di Boston Consulting Group (BCG), che recita " l'UE potrebbe affrontare costi aggiuntivi stimati in 102 miliardi di dollari a causa dei dazi statunitensi. I settori più colpiti includeranno l'automotive, i macchinari elettrici e la moda".
In particolare, penso che l'industria automobilistica europea, con una forte presenza in Germania, potrebbe subire un impatto significativo. Alcuni economisti stimano che un dazio del 10% potrebbe ridurre il PIL tedesco dell'1,6%, data la dipendenza del paese dalle esportazioni di auto e macchinari verso gli Stati Uniti.
Le tensioni commerciali potrebbero anche portare a una riorganizzazione delle catene di approvvigionamento globale. Le aziende europee potrebbero cercare di diversificare i mercati, puntando su regioni ad alto potenziale come l'India e l'Africa, in particolare io spero in quest'ultima.
In risposta ai dazi statunitensi, l'Unione Europea ha dichiarato di essere pronta a "rispondere con fermezza" a qualsiasi partner commerciale che imponga dazi in modo ingiusto o arbitrario sui prodotti europei. Bruxelles sottolinea che i dazi sono dannosi per tutte le parti coinvolte, aumentando i costi aziendali e danneggiando lavoratori e consumatori.
In sintesi, i dazi imposti dagli Stati Uniti potrebbero rallentare la crescita economica dell'UE, influenzando negativamente settori chiave e spingendo le aziende a rivedere le proprie strategie commerciali e di approvvigionamento, tuttavia questa è anche una opportunità, perchè attualmente molte aziende dello stox600 sono ampiamente sottoprezzate rispetto alle concorrenti americane e quindi potenzialmente sottovalutate.
