In this post I will show you how profitable Tier 2 Quests are in the game Golem Overlord. In my post: Showing Profitability in Tier 1 Quests , I show you how profitable Tier 1 Quests are and how they are not profitable. In fact, many times you will take a loss when unlocking their rewards, but on the other hand they are still useful to complete since you receive XP without having to pay to unlock the rewards.
The story is the same for Tier 2 Quests and after completing some I came to the conclusion that they are not profitable and, just like Tier 1 Quests, it is very likely that you will take a loss. To demonstrate this better, I will go through the practical and not theoretical path, so I will complete one of the Quests and show you my costs and how much I earned when unlocking the rewards.
Remember that to unlock Tier 2 Quests you need to have Prestige 5 and in case you are curious about which Prestige levels the quests are unlocked at, I will leave the list here.
Tier 1 Quest - Prestige 3, Tier 2 Quest - Prestige 5, Tier 3 Quest - Prestige 8, Tier 4 Quest - Prestige 15 and Tier 5 Quest - Prestige 20.
Currently the highest Tier of Quests is 5. I am at Prestige 5 and it takes me on average 1 week to go up in Prestige so in less than 1 month I will be at Prestige 8 and I will continue to demonstrate the profitability of each Tier of Quests, now I will show the rewards of Tier 2.
One of the advantages of Tier 2 Quests is that just like Tier 1 Quests, they are very easy to complete and to complete the one I currently have I only need to level up 2 levels of Faith and 1 level of Power.
In my case, it's easy because my stats are low, so the cost to level them up is low. If your stats are high, then it might be best to think carefully before completing any quest in this tier because you'll spend a lot of PART on it. However, if you already intend to level up the stats that the quest asks for, then there's no problem and it'll be worth completing it because you get a good amount of XP without having to spend anything to unlock the rewards. In the case of the quest that appeared for me, I'll earn 40 XP, which is a lot for my current level.
After completing it, just finish the mission and you'll earn the XP instantly. As for the other rewards, you'll need to pay a certain amount of SHARD to be able to claim them.
In the case of this quest that I just completed, I need to pay 8.75 SHARD to get the rewards, so let's see what I can do.
These were my rewards. Now, let's do the math and find out if I can make a profit or a loss.
The lowest price for Vial of Insights on the market is 0.012 Hive.
The lowest price for Chronos [Scout] is 0.017 Hive.
The 2 rewards together would give me a total of 0.029 Hive if I were to sell them on the market, now let's see the price of 8.75 SHARD.
8.75 SHARD costs 0.091 Hive, so I had a loss of 0.062 Hive unlocking the rewards for the Tier 2 Quest. As you can see, there is no profitability in them and I didn't even consider the amount in PART that I spent to complete it, which was on average 500 PART and that is the equivalent of 0.37 Hive.
My tip is to only complete the Tier 2 Quests if your intention is to level up the stats it asks for, because that way you will gain the Quest XP that will help you to level up your Prestige faster, but I don't recommend that you pay to unlock the rewards because you can get them on the market much cheaper.
Soon I will be at Prestige 8 and I will show you whether the Tier 3 Quests will be profitable or not.
