It looks like a decent strategy if you are doing quests. Don't you need to finish all quests to get those rewards? I am not sure if it's really that worthwhile but I guess the rewards might make up for it.

Buying boosters is not convenient in my opinion.
Instead, planning seeds to plant is always useful when you have more seeds than land
