I believe we should also adjust our upvoting habits accordingly, supporting those who want to build instead of those who just milk this space.
You're right. I try to do this as well. Although there are different unique set of people that are different. These guys powered down and came back later to actually buy a bigger position when the dip happened. I still see them here, they're building and all that. Nevertheless, I mostly support those who truly want this place to thrive and that's why I'm mostly hesitant when there are people who are on chronic power down.
Personally Hive is a game changer in many ways. It's just that many people aren't truly appreciative of what we have.
People complain there are whales here but don’t realize that maybe those whales bought their influence on the platform from these people regularly dumping their stake.
Exactly, these people buy their position, and they totally deserve the influence they have and no one should be questioning the influence they wield.
I have a chronic condition that affects me in many ways. Should I continue to thrive in better health, I want to increase my position as well.
As I always say, RCs are the game changer for long term price appreciation and are given with staked HIVE so, we’ll see what happens ones RCs become a scarce resource.
I think the next HARD FORK promises to roll out new updates soon, needles to say, it'll be really good to see the RC economy come into play on Hive.
It is not easy to detect those who are here for the short term, someone might seem to be a long term holder but due to rewards being linear one could accumulate 100k HP and power it all down the same as it was 1k HP.
Selling pressure is not a problem imho, it is rather the fact that the main incentive (resource credits) is not yet scarce enough due to the current abundance of bandwidth we have.
That will change though as the network grows and dapps onboard more users.
You're right. I think you cannot know the intention, unless you look inside the mind which is impossible. However, in the Short run we have to look at on-chain actions and all that. Afterall it's our chain, and I guess we all have a responsibility towards Hive.
Agreed.
As long as you have any stake, you’re an owner of the platform.
