The silver is where the metal value lies, but these are a rarity now because so few casinos still have them. Much like rare coins you are paying for the rarity now more than the precious metal content. Many of the more uncommon ones are getting very expensive.
I like the one's from casinos that are now history, giving them more value as no more will ever be made. The silver got me started collecting them, but now I enjoy history as much as the silver.
It feels weird to pay for rarity rather than natural precious stone. But I understand. People wants to own what's scare because eventually the price will go up.
Things that are scarce will tend to go up in price. Remember that Cheeto that looked like a Pokemon? Some moron paid a fortune for it, that in my eyes is stupid investing. But then again the guy who bought it probably bought a ton of BTC in 2016...
