Today has been particularly frustrating, with targets not met and efforts not validated. I wasted a lot of time and energy, and I still do not know what I am doing.
It feels like deja vu because I remember wasting so much time doing the wrong things at this time last year, till the end of the year.
Although I gained experience, wasting time is difficult. Unfortunately, we sacrifice time in order to gain experience; even if experience does not directly correlate with rewards, it is still a tradable and valuable asset.
For more than a year, I put in a lot of effort on the wrong ventures, and 99% of them were complete failures. Before that one-year period, I was not accustomed to being so unlucky.
Almost everything, including every venture, opportunity, and hard work, failed 100% effort, zero rewards. Two days ago, I decided to bring a few people into the game (not Hive), and I spent hours without success.
I mean, these people know so little about web2, not to mention web3. Over 80% of them were uninterested because it appeared too difficult for them, and the 20% who were interested felt lost despite all of the video tutorials I sent.
It is safe to say that these people required spoon-feeding, but I did not have the time, and I tried explaining as if they were five, and they still could not get it.
Anyway, I do not think it is a bad thing if they fail on their first try; it is up to them to decide whether or not to keep trying. I entered the space with zero dollars and a phone held together with rubber bands, and it took years.
These guys have 4G phones and the benefit of a tutor, but they probably do not have the endurance to persevere despite failure and frustration.
Having endurance is a virtue
It is strange how my endurance has increased so dramatically. These guys cannot even use their phones to look up information.
When I first arrived in the space, there was no one to teach me; I had to figure things out on my own, and sometimes I did not get the information I needed.
There was no YouTube then, or it wasn't really a thing. Google suffered because of me.
If it were a human, it could have blocked my IP address, but I am glad I found the majority of the information I needed. Nowadays, when things get difficult, people want to give up rather than dig deeper and find another creative solution.
Endurance is established through resolution
I can not teach these people endurance; they are adults, and the reason I am sharing this experience is because it is so contrasting to how being in the game for over ten years has taught me insane endurance levels.
The reason is that I do not believe I will be unlucky forever. However, the concept of this mindset is flawed because people believe that effort should always be rewarded.
Most of the time, effort equals rewards only in the 9 to 5 setting, and this varies to some extent. A company's manager works less than the actual people who generate revenue for the company, but he (the manager) is paid more, despite being only a ceremonial head.
However, I believe that less is still meaningful. It is always concerning when rewards are not guaranteed, especially when effort exceeds 100%. This is why it is so easy to suddenly lose motivation.
Constant losses or failures demotivate us, and we often need wins in between losses to validate our struggles and remind ourselves that the losses are only a part of the process.

Putting in 100% effort and getting nothing back is not an easy thing to endure and keep going. But yes endurance is everything. Sometimes it’s just about outlasting the bad luck until things finally click and turn around
It's not easy. I can safely say it's one of the hardest things in life. However I think we can be unlucky 99% times and win maybe in the second to last or last attempt, but the endurance to kept going despite it all is a really virtue
you're so right man. Sometimes we see bad all through till the last minute. A classic example is football matches. It's not over until the whistle blows
Your resilience and consistency ought to be studied in school. I think there are a lot of distractions out there that make people less focused. These days, not many are willing to go through the stress of getting information. Rather, they prefer to be fed with all the necessary details.
I think that everyone can fail and be unlucky. However, learning from what went wrong and using that in the future helps alot. It will let you make less mistakes, and I think it will eventually pay off.
