We were waiting for our take out order in a restaurant in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines when the rain suddenly poured strong.
While waiting for the rain to stop, we thought of having a merienda instead of just waiting.
I was with my sister and my cousin. My sister ordered Chicken Mami while I ordered cake and coffee. My cousin did not feel like eating so he did not order anything.
Anyway, when the order came, the chicken mami looked like this:
This is a lot for just one person. It consists of two big slices of fried chicken and noodles in chicken soup with slices of mixed vegetables. My sister requested for an empty bowl and she shared the chicken mami with my cousin while I, on the other hand, enjoyed my coffee and cake.
It is a chiffon caramel cake. I like the texture and it tastes just fine. Not too sweet and not too bland.
I nearly gave up on this coffee. It was too strong even after I poured some milk on it. Plus, I am stopping myself from drinking too much coffee because I am acidic.
This restaurant is a great stop-over for those who want to enjoy family meals or even for those who want alone time.
I swear the servings are worth it. Very full. I noticed one order of Pancit Canton Bihon that says good for 2-3 pax but when served, looked likes it could feed five persons.
