Moon Karts: Focus on POWER UPS
Moonkarts is a Hive-based arcade race game with nice graphics and good gameplay that is part of the games featured on the Arcade Colony platform.
If you don't know Moon Karts, you can read the guide that I wrote recently in which I explained how to start playing.
In today's post I share a focus on POWER UPS.
The Power Ups are NFTs that can be equipped in the Kart Preset and can be used to have advantages during a race.
There are 6 different Power Ups in two versions (regular and gold foil):
- Lunar Glide
- Moonfire Missile
- Lunar Barrier
- Cosmic Disruptor
- Celestial Thrust
- Lunar Bolt
Power Up type NFTs can be purchased from the MARKET or can be found within the CENTAURI packs.
The Power Ups have a starting level = 1 that can be increased to the maximum level = 4 through the merge operation of multiple NFT.
A Level 4 Power Up is the result of combining 30 NFT Regular version or 4 NFT Gold Foil.
Now let me show you the main information for each of the 6 Power Ups that can be used on Moon Karts.
Celestial Thrust
I decided to start with the Celestial Thrust power up because it is the power up generally most used by players including myself.
Celestial Thrust produces an immediate speed increase.
In the next gif you can see the level 1 Celestial Thrust in action on my kart producing a speed increase from 238 mph to 334 mph for 2 seconds.
To increase duration and speed increase, you need to upgrade to higher levels.
In the next image you can see all the levels that can be reached by the Celestial Thrust and the statistics by level.
There are only 5 Celestial Thrust regular version in the market and the lowest purchase price is 3.55$
Moonfire Missile
The Moonfire Missile allows you to damage an opponent's Kart and at the same time lose COLONY and Orbitals collected during the race that return to the race track and can be collected again.
This is perhaps the most irritating Power Up to suffer.
I only use it when my opponent takes all the orbitals and doesn't leave me at least 3.
If I take three orbitals I prefer not to use it also because in a continuous Moonfire Missile war it is difficult for all competing players to earn points for the Orbitals Leaderboard

Lunar Barrier
The Lunar Barrier power up creates a temporary barrier that protects and immunizes against the effects of power ups but its duration is limited, which is why using it with the right timing is important.

The lowest purchase price on the market is:
- $3.75 for 1 NFT regular
At the time of writing this post, there are no Lunar Barrier gold foils for sale on the market.
Lunar Glide
The Lunar Glide power up releases an oil spot on the race course .
Ending up on an oil spot is equivalent to losing speed and also losing some of the collected COLONY and ORBITALS.

- 15$ for 1 NFT gold foil
Lunar Bolt
The Lunar Bolt power up slow down and make an opposing kart lose control.

- $4.44 for 1 regular NFT
- $25 for 1 NFT gold foil
Cosmic Disruptor
The Cosmic Disruptor power up emits a magnetic pulse that causes the loss of control of an opposing kart or the slowdown of an opposing kart.

The lowest purchase price on the market is:
- $4.05 for 1 NFT regular
In writing this post I discovered a graphic error for Lunar Bolt and Cosmic Disruptor NFTs.
In fact in the Market and My Cards section the images are discordant.

Moon Karts: Focus sui POWER UPS
Moonkarts è un Hive-based arcade race game che fa parte dei giochi presenti sulla piattaforma Arcade Colony.
Se non conosci Moon Karts puoi leggere la guida che ho scritto di recente in cui ho spiegato come iniziare a giocare indicando anche tutti i requisiti iniziali.
Nel post di oggi condivido un focus sui POWER UPS.
I Power Ups sono degli NFT che possono essere equipaggiati nel Kart Preset e possono essere utilizzati per avere dei vantaggi durante una gara.
Ci sono 6 Power Ups diversi in due versioni (regular e gold foil):
- Lunar Glide
- Moonfire Missile
- Lunar Barrier
- Cosmic Disruptor
- Celestial Thrust
- Lunar Bolt
Gli NFT di tipo Power Up possono essere acquistati dal MARKET oppure possono essere trovati all'interno dei CENTAURI packs.
I Power Ups hanno tutti un livello di partenza = 1 che può essere aumentato fino al livello massimo = 4 tramite l'operazione di merge di più NFT.
Un Power Up di livello 4 è il risultato della combinazione di 30 NFT Regular version oppure di 4 NFT Gold Foil.
Adesso ti mostro le informazioni principali per ognuno dei 6 Power Ups utilizzabili su Moon Karts.
Celestial Thrust
Ho deciso di iniziare dal Power Up Celestial Thrust perchè è il power up generalmente più utilizzato dai giocatori me compreso.
Il Celestial Thrust permette di avere un incremento immediato di velocità.
Nella prossima gif puoi vedere il Celestial Thrust di livello 1 in azione sul mio kart che produce un aumento di velocità da 238 mph a 334 mph per 2 secondi.
Per aumentare durata e incremento di velocità è necessario fare l'upgrade a livelli più alti.
Nella prossima immagine puoi vedere tutti i livelli raggiungibili dal Celestial Thrust e le statistiche in base al livello.
Nel market ci sono solo 5 Celestial Thrust regular version e il prezzo più basso di acquisto è 3.55$
Moonfire Missile
Il Moonfire Missile permette di danneggiare il Kart di un avversario e allo stesso tempo fa perdere i COLONY e gli Orbitals raccolti durante la gara che ritornano sul tracciato di gara e possono essere raccolti nuovamente.
E' questo forse il Power Up più fastidioso da subire.
Io lo uso solo quando il mio avversario prende tutti gli orbitals e non me ne lascia almeno 3.
Se prendo tre orbitals preferisco non usarlo anche perchè in una guerra continua di Moonfire Missile è difficile per tutti i giocatori in gara guadagnare punti per la Orbitals Leaderboard

Lunar Barrier
Il power up Lunar Barrier crea una barriera temporanea che protegge e immunizza dagli effetti dei power ups ma la sua durata è limitata e per questo motivo usarlo con il timing giusto è importante.

Lunar Glide
Il power up Lunar Glide rilascia una macchia d'olio sul percorso di gara .
Finire su una macchia d'olio equivale a perdere velocità e perdere anche una parte dei COLONY e ORBITALS raccolti.

Cosmic Disruptor

Scrivendo questo post ho scoperto un errore grafico per gli NFT Lunar Bolt e Cosmic Disruptor.
Infatti nel Market e nella sezione My Cards le immagini sono discordanti.

Sul Moonfire Missile mi pare di capire che c'è una sorta di tacito accordo tra giocatori per non usarlo ahahah 🤣 il prossimo step è inserirlo nella Convenzione di Ginevra fra le armi il cui utilizzo è proibito 😂

In effetti vedo che su Hive-Engine un pacchetto costa sui 3 dollari, per cui sembra proprio la scelta migliore: immagino che non sia facilissimo trovarci dentro un Power Up, però se ad uno interessano anche le altre carte per ora sembra un rapporto qualità/prezzo molto superiore.
Molto buono: ma su Moonkart c'è qualche modo per noleggiare le proprie carte o simili? Perchè non sono interessato a giocarci, ma acquistare qualche assets potrebbe essere interessante, soprattutto se ci fosse un modo comunque di farlo fruttare nel mentre :)

There's a huge disparity and price difference between the standard NFT and the gold. Why is that so?
Power ups are expensive because there are few of them for sale and active players are growing but still relatively few, reasons why in my opinion it is not convenient to buy them from the market at this time. I prefer to buy card packs at this stage....
