Greetings Battle-Mages!
I would like to share my performance for Brawl 256. Once again, the RNG Gods have smiled on my me as I finished this brawl with a perfect 8-0 score. Please join me as I try to explain what goes on in my mind as I quickly pick teams for certain rulesets. Disclaimer, I am not saying that my picks are the absolute best as we can never know what the opponent will choose. A certain amount of luck always plays a part in any match.

Ruleset: Going the Distance(only monsters with ranged attack can be used), Fire and Regret(all units have Return Fire-returns 50% of ranged attack to attacker rounded up) 15 Mana
As only 15 mana is allowed, I chose a cheeky combo with a self-healing big tank up front CORNEALUS and MOTHER KHALA as summoner that adds 1 health to all monsters. Basically I am just waiting for the opponent's monsters to kill themselves while my CORNEALUS self heals 1/3 of its health each round.

Ruleset: Fab Four(only 4 units may be summoned), Earthquake(all non-flying and snared units take 2 damage at the start of round 2), Melee Mayhem(all melee attackers may attack from any position) 19 Mana
This is the time unleash the LLAMA/QUORA combo as only 19 mana is allowed and QUORA TOWERSHEAD is banned from being used by my opponent.

Ruleset: Odd Ones Out(only monsters with odd mana costs can be used), Ferocity(all units have Fury-deals 2x damage if target has Taunt), Briar Patch(all units have Thorns-returns 2 damage to melee attacker), 28 Mana
With all units having Thorns, I was expecting a Magic/Range battle so I chose YODIN ZAKU as summoner for that extra Blast damage. DALTHIN IRONHOOD is key to this match as it gives plus 2 ranged attack to two otherwise non-attackers (CREEPING OOZE and CHAOS AGENT). Furthermore, YODIN also gives plus 1 ranged damage to all range attackers giving my team superior firepower. The battle quickly ended in Round 2.

Ruleset: Born Again(all units have Rebirth-self resurrects once with 1 health),Are You Not Entertained(an additional Gladiator may be summoned), Aim True(all units gain True Strike-all attacks will not miss) 44 Mana
Whenever I see the Born Again ruleset, I always try to play a Martyr monster to buff up my QUORA as she will become an unstoppable force. It also helps to ban QUORA from the opponents side 😅.

Ruleset: Fab Four(max 4 units can be summoned), Explosive Weaponry (all units have Blast-deals an additional 50% damage to adjacent units rounded up), Healed Out(no healing allowed) 50 Mana
Both of us had the sane idea of basically using Magic damage and a fast tank. But VALNAMOR is simply superior in this match as the plus 1 Speed is very crucial. Attacking and hitting first is the key. Speed kills!

Ruleset: Fire and Regret(all units have Return Fire-returns 50% of ranged attack to attacker rounded up), Noxious Fumes(all units get poisoned and lose 2 health at the start of round 2), Healed Out(no healing abilities) 13 Mana
This match was where Lady Luck came to the rescue. We basically had the same team composition, but my FORGOTTEN ONE got the first hits. I am not sure, but I guess it being a Gold Foil made it attack first? 🤔

Ruleset: Heavy Metal(only armored units may be summoned), Aimless(units with Magic and Ranged attack gain Scattershot-attacks at random targets), Equalizer(all units will have equal health to the highest health monster on each side) 14 Mana
In this match, since most attacks will be at random targets (except for my URAEUS who will attack the backline first), I chose LORNA SHINE as summoner for that added protection as she gives as Divine Shield(the first time a unit takes damage, it is ignored). Having 4 monsters vs 3 monsters also helps. Opponent still have 1 mana unused and he could have put an extra 1 mana monster up front. GG's
As a result, each participating member of our guild mitriiman squad gets 1,313 Merits and 14.295 staked SPS for finishing in 7th place.
