During my journey in Splinterlands, I discovered that the type of monster I hate to face the most are those with magical attacks. They can attack in any position and ignore the monsters' armor, attacking their health directly, so they are annoying to face. To face monsters with magical attacks, the best abilities are Void and Magic Reflect. Today, I will talk about a monster from the current Soulbound edition that will be a great ally against them.
The monster I am talking about is the Dark Arbolist, a rare monster that belongs to the Death deck and that, in addition to having the Void and Magic Reflect abilities, also has the Demoralize ability.
The Dark Arbolist has low attack power, but its mana cost is low, and because of its abilities, it will be very useful in battles.
The Demoralize ability makes the Dark Arbolist decrease the melee attack of my opponent's monsters by -1 while she is in battle. If the Dark Arbolist is defeated in battle, then my opponent's monsters will recover the melee attack they lost.
The Magic Reflect ability makes the Dark Arbolist deal part of the magic damage received back to the monster that attacked it with magic attack, so if it receives an attack from a monster that has 2 magic attack, the Dark Arbolist will deal 50% of the damage back, so using this monster with 2 magic attack as an example, this monster will receive 1 magic damage back.
The Void ability makes the Dark Arbolist only receive half damage against magic attacks, this means that if a monster with 2 magic attack attacks the Dark Arbolist, it will only receive 1 magic damage.
The Dark Arbolist is the type of monster that any monster with magic attack will hate because they will deal less damage to it and will still suffer from its own attack because of the ability Magic Reflect.
I really like using Dark Arbolist in low-mana battles or in battles with the Little League rule because it is a low-mana cost monster that is very useful in battles and besides being useful against monsters with magic attacks, it will also be useful in reducing the melee attack of my opponent's monsters with its Demoralize ability.
There are many cards from the current Soulbound edition that are very useful in battles and one of my main goals right now is to get all of them to the maximum level before a new Soulbound edition is released because when they leave the rewards store it will be very expensive to evolve them since their current price is high on the market, so I don't want to have to pay that amount and I'm spending all of my Glint focusing on them.
