It's time to expand my Chaos Legion card collection a little more, so I'm going to open a few more packs and see if I'm lucky.
As I mentioned in other posts, my goal is to get my Chaos Legion card collection to the maximum level, and I chose this edition because it has the cheapest cards and it's useful and powerful in Modern and Wild formats.
To expand my Chaos Legion collection, I have the option of buying cards directly from the market or opening packs and trying my luck. The best option is to buy cards directly from the market, since most of the time you'll be able to get the cards for a lower price than opening packs, and also because you can select which cards you want to buy, unlike packs where the cards come randomly. I like opening packs because it's fun, so I'm going for both options to expand my Chaos Legion collection. My focus is to buy most of the cards from the market, but sometimes I buy a few packs to open and test my luck, and today is one of those days.
Today I decided to buy 5 Chaos Legion packs from Hive Engine, each pack cost me 1.16 Swap.Hive and in total I spent 5.84 Swap.Hive which is the equivalent of $2.09. The first time I opened Chaos Legion packs I was lucky enough to get a value for the cards that exceeded the prices of the packs, the second time I wasn't so lucky and this is my third time opening Chaos Legion packs, I hope I'm lucky enough to get a value higher than the packs or to get a Gold Foil legendary card.
Now that the packs are in my account I just need to open them, I'm also going to use Alchemy Potions to increase my chances of getting Gold Foil cards and I'm also going to use Legendary Potions to increase my chances of getting Legendary cards.
Since I started opening Chaos Legion packs I haven't been lucky enough to get any Gold Foil cards, but I've been lucky with legendary cards and today I managed to add Chaos Legion to my collection, one of the cards from the dragon deck that I use frequently in my battles in Splinterlands.
My luck this time wasn't good and the total value of the cards I got in these packs was lower than the value I paid for the packs, so it was an unlucky pack opening, but it was fun opening them and when the card started shaking I thought I would finally get a Gold Foil legendary card but it wasn't this time.
My main goal this year is to get all my Chaos Legion cards to maximum level and I'm taking it slow because I want to see how the market will react when a new edition of cards is released and the Chaos Legion edition can no longer be used in Modern format battles, the price of the cards will probably go down and that's why I don't want to make a very high investment right now.
For now, to earn money in ranked battles I need to rent SPS and cards, but soon I won't need that anymore and my only cost will be the battle pass in Wild format.
