My Favorite Strategy with Tokatag Conscript - Make Melee Attack Monsters With Sneak Ability Suffer | Splinterlands Social Media Challenge

in Olio di Balena5 days ago

Hello everyone, Welcome to my Splinterlands Social Media Challenge post. In this post, I will be talking about my favorite strategy with Tokatag Conscript, and more, as well as an amazing battle. I hope it will be useful for you.

Tokatag Conscript is a Neutral Monster that has the Sneak Ability and the Thorns Ability starting at level 1, and the Backfire Ability at level 10. And it costs 6 mana.

  • Sneak Ability : Targets the last Unit on the enemy Team instead of the first Unit.
  • Thorns Ability : When hit with a Melee attack, does 2 Melee damage back to the attacker.
  • Backfire Ability : If an enemy misses this Unit with an attack, the attacker takes 2 Melee damage.

The fact that Tokatag Conscript has both the Sneak Ability, the Thorns Ability, and the Backfire Ability, as well as being a Neutral card, makes it a very special card. Since it is a neutral card, I have the chance to use it in many battles and I often put it in the last position on my team and in this way, since it has the Sneak Ability, it targets the last Monster on the opposing team and also thanks to the Thorns Ability, it can make Melee Attackers with Sneak Ability suffer.

Sneak Monsters are Monsters that can be very effective in battles, so like many players, I use Sneak Monsters very often in battles. And if I can predict that the opposing team will have Sneak Monster(s), I will add Tokatag Conscript to my team without hesitation and put it in the last position. And when I have the chance I include Amplify Ability in my lineup so I can make them suffer even more. Amplify Ability increases Thorns damage by 1. Combining Thorns Ability with Amplify Ability really works against Melee Attack Monsters and is my favorite combo against Melee attackers.

Let's examine a battle that I think would be a good example of what I said above.

Battle Ruleset

  • Close Range : All units have Close Range (can use ranged attacks from the first position).

I knew that Sneak Monsters would be very effective in this battle, so I added 3 Monsters with Sneak Ability to my team and one of them was Tokatag Conscript because I knew that the opposing team might also have Sneak Monsters with Melee Attack and that's why I put Tokatag Conscript in the last position because I wanted them to suffer and I also included the Amplify Ability in my lineup so they would suffer more. And since I believed that armoring would be very beneficial to my team in this battle, all Monsters in my team will have an extra +2 armor thanks to the Protect Ability.

In the battle, the opposing player also determined a powerful strategy on Katrelba Gobson, and if the opposing player' strategy had worked as they wanted, Katrelba Gobson could have been very effective in the battle. However, Katrelba Gobson was destroyed in the first round due to the damage back it took from the Thorns, which almost ruined all of the opposing player's plans, which is exactly why I love including Tokatag Conscript in my strategy in these types of battles. After Katrelba Gobson was destroyed, even though the opposing team had 5 more Monsters, the opposing team lost the battle in the first round.

Although the battle cost 41 mana, it only lasted 3 rounds and at the end of the battle, all Monsters on the opposing team were destroyed while 5 Monsters on the team were still alive, which clearly shows how well my strategy worked in the battle. It was also noteworthy that at the end of the battle, the Katrelba Gobson on my team had 6 Melee Attack, 5 Speed, 5 Armor and 6 Health, which clearly shows how effective Katrelba Gobson can be in battles, and this clearly shows the importance of destroying a powerful Gladiator like Katrelba Gobson in the first round. This is exactly why I love the Tokatag Conscript card so much and include it in my strategy in such battles.

By the way, Reflection Shield Ability does not take damage from Thorns, so Thorns are useless against Reflection Shield and you can consider using Reflection Shield Ability to protect from Thorns. Also, with Death Summoner Reklah, you can give Reflection Shield Ability to 2 Monsters in your team. Reklah is a Rebellion Summoner that grants players the choice between granting two Units Reflection Shield, or reducing the health of two Units by two.
