IF WISHES WERE HORSES BEGGARS WOULD RIDE

Allow me the solace of my delusions, for they are all I possess at this moment. Picture, if you will, waking up to everything you've ever desired: the golden rays of the sun gently illuminating your face, guiding you into a new day, followed by your favorite breakfast, a pre-arranged spa day, and the love of your life gazing at you with so much love. Beautiful, isn’t it? Truly, it is.

Now, envision living your dream life: traveling to all the places you've longed to visit, thriving in the career you’ve always aspired to, experiencing every joy this world has to offer. As I reflect on these desires, I find myself repeating, 'If wishes were horses, I would ride the finest steed.'

But why must we accept that life is inherently unfair? Why should it be? Why do some endure hardship while others live in comfort? Why must society be divided by class, and why is there so much discrimination and segregation between those that have and those that doesn’t? Why do some people succumb to illness despite leading healthy lives, while others seem untouched by such afflictions?

Too many questions right, I guess we don’t have to know it all, yet I continue to wonder. And, as I ponder, I find myself saying once more: 'If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.'
