Today I tried to apply for a call to receive co-funding for our theatre project.
The path of the calls is a difficult and challenging path. We have to face a lot of bureaucracy and so many rules and constraints for reporting. Making culture in this way is really difficult and it makes you want to pass a little.
But unfortunately even for the smallest realities, money is needed. Renting a rehearsal room, renting a little theatre, doing some promotion, all this costs money.
And those who maybe then go on stage would appreciate being able to have a small compensation that they can invest in their training. I'm talking about those who do it at an amateur level, of course.
I'm looking for new ways and ways to finance projects with the theatre, but it's getting harder and harder.
If you don't have a social aspect (ex. Working with disabled people, bringing them on stage) it is often difficult to intercept some sporadic donations.
I'm thinking of trying to ask companies for donations, maybe someone sensitive is intercepted, but it's hard, the money that circulates is little. If you are not lucky enough to cross some "enlightened" owner, it is difficult to get a spider out of the hole.
And unfortunately, companies have no benefit in financing plays.
There would be five per thousand. Which is really a small thing, but you have to move to be authorised and our president doesn't seem interested in following that path.
It would be very little, but I wonder: how do the others do it? How are they financed? How do they manage to keep companies and shows up even at a loss?
Of course, some people start training, we do it too, but it's a sore point, because unfortunately those earnings all go to the president/artistic director.
They don't finance new projects, they don't spend on culture.
This is one of the things that make me angry and that I see rotten in this area. Many realities that seem to make culture and instead are just facades to make some people profit while those who have passion must be content with the crumbs, make sacrifices and reinvest everything in their training.
And then he ends up here venting and wondering how he can find a way to finance new shows.

Quella dei bandi è una strada difficile e impegnativa. Bisogna scontrarsi con tanta burocrazia e tante regole e vincoli per la rendicontazione. Fare cultura in questa maniera è davvero difficile e fa un po’ passare la voglia.
Ma purtroppo anche per le realtà più piccole, servono soldi. Affittare una sala per le prove, affittare un teatrino, fare un po’ di promozione, tutto questo costa.
E chi magari poi va in scena apprezzerebbe riuscire avere un piccolo compenso da poter investire nella propria formazione. Parlo di chi lo fa a livello amatoriale ovviamente.
Sto cercando strade e modi nuovi per poter finanziare dei progetti con il teatro, ma risulta sempre più difficile.
Se non hai un risvolto sociale (es. Lavorare con persone disabili, portandole sul palco) spesso è difficile intercettare qualche sporadica donazione.
Sto pensando di provare a chiedere delle donazioni alle aziende, magari si intercetta qualcuno sensibile, ma è dura, i soldi che girano sono pochi. Se non hai la fortuna di incrociare qualche proprietario “illuminato” è difficile riuscire a cavarci un ragno dal buco.
E purtroppo, le aziende non hanno alcun beneficio a finanziare opere teatrali.
Ci sarebbe il cinque per mille. Che è davvero poca cosa, ma bisogna muoversi per essere abilitati e il nostro presidente non sembra interessato a seguire quella strada.
Basterebbe davvero poco, ma mi domando: gli altri come fanno? Come si finanziano? Come riescono a tenere in piedi compagnie e spettacoli anche in perdita?
Certo, alcuni si mettono a fare formazione, lo facciamo anche noi, ma è un tasto dolente, perché purtroppo quei guadagni vanno tutti al presidente/direttore artistico.
Non finanziano nuovi progetti, non vengono spesi per fare cultura.
Questa è una delle cose che mi fanno arrabbiare e che vedo di marcio in questo settore. Tante realtà che sembra facciano cultura e invece sono solo delle facciate per far lucrare alcune persone mentre chi ha passione si deve accontentare delle briciole, fa sacrifici e reinveste tutto nella propria formazione.
E poi finisce qui a sfogarsi e domandarsi come si può trovare il modo finanziare nuovi spettacoli.

Purtroppo in molti settori funziona proprio così e mi dispiace che succede anche nel teatro che dovrebbe invece essere incentivato in modo maggiore.
Spero che, anche se è dura, riuscirete a trovare finanziamenti

È davvero frustrante, capisco che ci siano professionalità che ci devono mangiare e giustamente vanno pagate equamente. Ma vedere realtà che si spacciano per associazionismo e in realtà sono solo strumenti per lucrare (in maniera anche parecchio avida) da veramente fastidio.
Sarebbe un’altra cosa se fossero delle società. Almeno li sai che pagano tasse e tutto l’annesso come è giusto che sia. Mi andrebbe anche bene…
