Cryptic Reloaded:
An Artistic Journey Between Pencil and Imagination
Hello, Splinterlands lovers!
As I mentioned in my monthly recap (you can read it here: https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@stradaxlaliberta/my-adventure-in-hive-monthly-report-stats-gaming-and-editorial-plan-engita-ft), it’s time to dive into art contest number 321!
Let me start by saying: I’m not a professional artist, just an enthusiast who loves sketching on paper. This time, I drew inspiration from the "Cryptic" card in Splinterlands.
Here’s how I brought my remix to life, step by step:
I started with a "skeleton," a mannequin to define the figure's pose:
Then, I outlined the contours of the image:
I added details and shadows:
Finally, I refined every detail:
The fun part? I scanned the drawing (even using the office printer—what a thrill!) and then added an electrifying background with two energy flames in the palms using Canva. All in GIF format:
The icing on the cake? I involved my 3- and 6-year-old daughters, asking them to color the drawing. Here’s the final result:
It was amazing to get back to drawing after so long. It’s not a masterpiece, but who cares? What truly matters is the joy of creating something with my hands and seeing the excitement of my daughters as they brought our personal "Cryptic" to life.

Un Viaggio Artistico tra Matita e Fantasia
Ciao a tutti, amanti di Splinterlands!
Come anticipato nel mio recap mensile (che potete leggere qui: https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@stradaxlaliberta/my-adventure-in-hive-monthly-report-stats-gaming-and-editorial-plan-engita-ft), è ora di mettersi alla prova con l'art contest numero 321!
Premetto subito: non sono un artista professionista, ma un appassionato che ama buttare giù due tratti su un foglio. Questa volta, mi sono ispirato alla carta "Cryptic" di Splinterlands.
Ecco come ho dato vita al mio remix, passo dopo passo:
Ho iniziato con uno "scheletro", un manichino per definire la posizione della figura:
Poi ho abbozzato i contorni dell'immagine:
Ho aggiunto dettagli e ombre:
Infine, ho definito ogni minimo dettaglio:
La parte divertente? Ho scannerizzato il disegno (persino dalla stampante dell'ufficio - che brivido!) e poi su Canva ho aggiunto uno sfondo elettrizzante con due fuochi energetici sui palmi delle mani. Il tutto, rigorosamente in formato GIF:
La ciliegina sulla torta? Ho coinvolto le mie figlie di 3 e 6 anni, chiedendo loro di colorare il disegno. Ecco il risultato finale:
È stato fantastico tornare a disegnare dopo tanto tempo. Non è un capolavoro, ma poco importa! Ciò che conta è stata la gioia di creare qualcosa con le mie mani e vedere l'entusiasmo delle mie bambine mentre davano vita al nostro "Cryptic" personale.
