It's a good strategy to build up your Prestige, you are 100% correct in my opinion, the extra 1% increase on claims will always be there every single claim. I have been playing GO from day 1,that claim count ramps up over time.
A feature of GO I like a lot is the ability to withdraw Shard to Hive Engine and swap for Hive in a Liquidity pool. I never withdraw Part , because there is a growing penalty for that, but Shard does not seem to be similarly affected. This give me a little bit of Hive to spread around other projects like Holozing, where I am slowly building up my Liquidity pool holding, or pairing it with SOPS in the Swap.Hive:SPS pool to earn more SPS
