Let me tell you, I found my new favourite beach in Miami: Surfside Beach. And I've been living in Miami for years, I'm practically a local.
But when I went to Surfside, blimey, I was dazzled. It's unlike anything I've seen before. It has a really relaxed, tranquil vibe, nothing like the party atmosphere of South Beach.
As soon as I arrived, I kicked off my flip-flops and ran along the shoreline like a little kid. The cool water caressed my feet, heavenly.
Then I dived headfirst into the turquoise, crystal clear water. I swam and swam until I was knackered. I floated on my back, looking at the cerulean sky and seagulls circling above. I felt like I was in paradise.
I went back to the sand, lay down on my towel and started meditating while listening to the waves. The soothing sound relaxed me so much. The wind, the breeze...bloody brilliant. I closed my eyes and let myself go.
When I opened my eyes the sun was already setting, filling the sky with orange and pink hues. I didn't want to leave. I walked slowly along the shoreline, treasuring the moment.
Honestly, Surfside found a place right in my heart. It's like my new happy place, a little piece of heaven on earth. Next time I need to relax from work and my routine, I know where to go.
I rate this beach 10/10. If you want to visit Eden, go to Surfside. You'll fall in love just like I did.
