It’s more than a month since the 5th waves of the outbreak of the pandemic in Hong Kong, we knew that the confirmed cases number are hitting all time high everyday in the past week, many people started eating at the office, no matter you are order to go or make a lunch box at home, sounds everyone is fearing to eat outside now.
People said that the 5th waves of the pandemic is giving further massive hit to the individual business in Hong Kong, in fact, some super-size chain might not able to suffer such impact, no wonder the individual shop….
I didn’t eat outside for nearly a month, and I even hardly go down to get the order to go, I join my colleague for the delivery more though. Today we are not going to order for the delivery, we need to pick the order to go by ourselves in the Japanese noodle shop downstairs.
The Jap noddle shop is always full when you go down at 12:50pm – 1:15pm, many people were waiting outside for the table, but the scene is absolutely different to what they used to, the shop still got 4 / 5 tables occupied but they are nearly 80% tables are empty, the contrast is really obvious, Then - Always full, Now - nearly empty. I can’t really believe what I have seen downstairs today to be honest.
Another bad news is that our floor got 2 confirmed cases in the same unit, where is just next to our office…it’s not about if I will get inflected now, it’s about if we are forced to close the office now, if they do, old man probably will shut the business as he is already 72+, hopefully we don’t need to evacuate from the building….

This wave is very unusual due to the infection rate is crazy high; not mentioned the vaccine is not working very well on prevention. Luckily the vaccinated people get infective mostly do not need to go to hospitals. Be careful!
The vaccine can only deal with the original virus but variant though, the omicron is spreading super quick but they are not really strong, thanks god, we don’t have to worry too much to get inflected, better not to get inflected but somehow I think end up I will get inflected either 🤨

yeah they look cool, but I can't remember when was my last climb on the stairs, it should be many years ago 😅

How this @liketu works ? I tried to use it but unable to upload any pic....is there anything to do with setting or tier set up ?
guess you tried that on mobile, it doesn't support mobile on the chrome, edge, etc at the moment, you need to access to liketu.com via computer, but no worry, the mobile apps will be coming out in short time.

It's quite depressing but I'm sure things will bounce back hard. People are greedy. This is historically the case throughout all of humanity. We bounce back hard from hardship, and we essentially learn how to get more out of less.
Agree, the problem is we don’t know how many individual small shops will closed before it bounce back hard😨don’t really want to see there are just the super size chain stores after the pandemic is gone 🤨
