Christmas is around corner, do you have any plan for Christmas, guys? My husband has decorated our home with many Christmas stuff like the X’mas tree, wreath, etc… but I am not going to show those stuff to you guys first as our home is quite mess recently, still need time to tidy up before showing our home to the others.
Our neighbor, a very nice Chinese family, they are going back to Hong Kong for Christmas and Lunar New Year, because they are not living with their son / daughter, and their son / daughter went travel outside New Zealand lately, my husband decided to drive them to airport few days ago, as he always thinks that neighbor should helping each other, we help them today, they will help us when we need in the future.
Since they are very old, my husband has asked the staff at the airport to arrange them a wheel chair then the staff will help them get in the airplane, he’s very well organized and in detail mind.
They love to plant at their backyard, recently they harvested some vegetable and they gave us some as a gift, said thanks for sending them to the airport 😊, it’s our pleasure to help them actually. Wish them have a save trip home, and look forward to see them again after Lunar New Year in 2024.
And last night, we receive a Christmas gifts from my husband’s mother, the Chinese dried mushroom and scallop, we really love it, when we open the packaging of them, the smell made me excited, it’s hard to get such dried item in New Zealand, even it’s available, it’s expensive.
Now we can use the dried scallop to make congee, using mushroom to prepare black moss seaweed with braised dried oyster in Lunar New Year, we already received some black moss seaweed and dried oyster early this year and we still got some at the kitchen. So we don’t have to ask my husband’s mother to send more to us until they are ran out.
What my husband's mother and father sent to Melanie and Rachel? The Christmas card, hahaha. But they still love it, glad that they have no complain on not getting any gift from them.
