In this opening shot, you can see the lovely red berries of the Solanum dulcamara plant. You can also see a couple of green, unripe fruits among the red ones. Solanum dulcamara is a poisonous plant. It has some good properties but you can't eat the fruits

This is the Crithmum maritimum, an interesting plant that grows on the rock near the sea. It's edible, it's very aromatic, and I use it very often. Great free stuff to put in a wide variety of salads. In the following photograph ...

... you can take a better, more up-close look at the tiny flowers of that plant that gets often salted by the waves.

Here you can see me picking figs in the large orchard on the edge of Medulin, my hometown. This place doesn't exist anymore. An apartment building with almost no vegetation around it is now there.

In this photograph, I'm standing near a wild carrot flower. In the following photograph, you can take a look at the same kind of flowers from a different angle.

The wild carrot (Daucus carota) it's an edible plant. The young roots smell and taste like those of cultivated carrots. The only difference is that the smell and taste are more intense. As the whole plant gets older the roots become too wooden to eat.

Here you can see an old oak that grew long ago in the fields outside the town. Nowadays, that tree is surrounded by apartment buildings. It's still there, fortunately, unlike many other impressive trees removed by the construction craze of the last decade

I used to climb that tree from time to time. It was easy and the oak had a nice place to sit down between the branches.
Here you'll see (or just saw) ten old photographs taken in 2014. You'll see (or just saw) some plants, wild and cultivated, that grow in my area, and you'll also see (or just saw) me interacting with some of those plants. All photographs are my work. For the shots with me in the picture, the timer of my camera was used. I was running back and forth from the position behind the camera to the spot in front of the lens, trying to reach the right place before the time runs out. It wasn't easy. But I had a lot of fun.

Wow! That oak tree is ancient! Incredible!
Wanna have some seeds of your giant zucchini! What did you put in the soil?!
Nice photos of the good old days when life was simple and care free. Very nostalgic photos.
That is a massive zucchini. I thought that they get really woody when they get that large?
That tree looks like a nice spot to sit and relax
It depends. If they get large and old, maybe they can be woody then. This one grew quickly so is large and fresh. 😃 It was a juicy piece of zucchini.
Yes, it's beautiful old oak, and its shape offers a surprisingly comfortable place to sit down.
That's good to hear. I suppose there are different varieties of vegetables as well. Maybe that type grows large normally as well.
Yes, I saw quite a few types of zucchini in various gardens and in supermarkets.
Great captures and you really thought about them and such a work running back and forth to capture what you wanted. I did that a few times. Can be lots of fun hahaha
That zucchini is truly large wow.
Thanks for sharing your younger you… and bits out of the garden and area.
Have a great weekend further @borjan 👋🏻😊
These are quite a shot👍👍 i also post a not so latest photos because the memories are there and the newer photos needed aging still
I can imagine you now scaling the tree with a 20 seconds headstart from your camera, then positioning yourself and smiling when realizing you moved to fast, then you relax and the camera click. Now you have to do it all over again 😂.
Anyways they were nice posts. Thanks for sharing 🤗
The flowers of the wild carrots are pretty though 😍
🙂

things like this are very fun, I often do it when I'm in the forest, it's very exciting, especially if you add a little snack
too bad the red berries are poisonous, they look really tasty and beautiful.
can you finish the zucchini in one meal? must be divided into several meals, isn't it? that is a huge one
It was a bit too big for me 😃 but I know people that could eat it in one meal.
