The year was 2010.
Carnival activities were going on in many small towns and villages ...
... so I photographed some colorful people along the way.
I can only vaguely recognize the area. When it comes to exact places, names, and details about them, can't tell you anything about that.
At one point, I reached the area where a bit f snow had been fallen a day or two before. Probably in the mountains near the border with Slovenia. Small details fallen from the trees looked great on the snow.
Here you can take a look through a relatively large hole in the snow and see a bit of vegetation underneath. The dry plant protruding from the hole adds a lot to the composition.
The weather was mostly dull and grey, but some details were colorful even in that conditions. I don't know what is this exactly. It looks like a stained glass window of some modern church. But it could be a detail from some different, non-sacral building.
Here you can see a few more snowy details.
Here you can take another look at the small building from the opening shot. This photograph shows a bit of the surrounding as well. But that wasn't enough to make me recognize the place.
AND THAT'S IT. AS ALWAYS IN THESE POSTS ON HIVE, ALL THE PHOTOGRAPHS, OLD AND NEW, ARE MY WORK - THE END.
One thing's for sure. On the 5th of February ten years ago, I was driving around the northern part of Istra, the peninsula on which I live. It was carnival time, and here you can see some of the photographs that I took on that occasion.
